I’m sure he has already asked what price for a pardon from Donnie….

I wonder which of Donnie’s accounts it will be paid into…

In short:
Takeshi Ebisawa has pleaded guilty in New York to conspiring with a network of associates to traffic nuclear materials from Myanmar, the US justice department says.
The US justice department says Ebisawa told undercover operative, posing as an Iranian general, that he could supply plutonium and uranium.
What's next?
Ebisawa will be sentenced at a later date, but faces up to a life sentence in prison for some of the charges he has pleaded guilty to.

Google and Microsoft donate $1m each to Trump’s inaugural fund
Tech giants follow footsteps of other major companies, including Amazon, Meta, OpenAI and Uber

Google and Microsoft have donated $1m each to Donald Trump’s inauguration fund, following in the footsteps of other major companies including Amazon, Meta, OpenAI and Uber.

“Google is pleased to support the 2025 inauguration, with a livestream on YouTube and a direct link on our homepage. We’re also donating to the inaugural committee,” Karan Bhatia, Google’s global head of government affairs and public policy, confirmed in a statement to the Guardian on Thursday.

The tech giant made the donation on Monday, CNBC reported. José Castaneda, a Google spokesperson, told the outlet that the company has donated to previous inauguration funds and previously hosted livestreams of inauguration ceremonies.

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed the company’s donation to Trump’s inaugural fund in a statement to Bloomberg on Thursday. The company donated $500,000 each to Trump’s inauguration in 2017 and Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021, Bloomberg reports.

A slew of other major companies made hefty donations to Trump’s inauguration fund in the last month; the fund will cover functions and activities connected with the ceremony. Amazon, Meta and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman have all made donations of $1m, as well as Toyota and Uber.

The contributions, which have helped Trump’s inaugural committee raise a record $170m in donations, appear to be an attempt by tech giants to curry good favor with Trump ahead of his second term. By comparison, Joe Biden’s inauguration raised $63m in 2021 while Barack Obama’s inaugurations raised $53m in 2009 and $42m in 2013.

Part of the goal may be to have a big turnout to avoid the previous embarrassment. Wonder if they’ll drag employees to it.

picking quote from above
https://newrepublic.com/post/190093/donald-trump-los-angeles-fires-water-real-estate wrote:In an address Thursday night, Trump put the blame for the fires—which have so far ravaged a land area larger than Manhattan—on Gavin Newsom, falsely claiming that the California governor had allowed some of the region’s fire hydrants to run dry. In actuality, the power lines generating the hydrants had been temporarily shut off by utilities in order to prevent electrical fires from sparking.

“If you notice yesterday the hydrants were empty, they didn’t have any water, many of them,” Trump said. “They said 20 percent, but now I just heard 50 percent, and now none of them have water and that fire is still raging.

“When he turned that down, I was gonna give him unlimited water. It would—it really comes down from the north, way up north, including parts of Canada,” Trump said, referring to the nation he’s mocked for several weeks as being on the precipice of becoming the country’s fifty-first state. “So much water that they wouldn’t know what to do with. Just the opposite would have happened. And that’s the reason that this happened.”

Exactly where Trump would obtain “unlimited water,” however, isn’t clear.

Trump rips ‘Marble Mouth’ Seth Meyers

by Judy Kurtz - 01/14/25 9:10 AM ET

President-elect Trump is slamming Seth Meyers, saying the late-night host’s TV show isn’t “entertainment,” but more like a political hit job.

“How bad is Seth Meyers on NBC, a ‘network’ run by a truly bad group of people,” Trump wrote in a Tuesday post on Truth Social.

“I got stuck watching Marble Mouth Meyers the other night, the first time in months,” Trump said of the “Late Night” host, “and every time I watch this moron I feel an obligation to say how dumb and untalented he is, merely a slot filler for the Scum that runs Comcast.”

“These guys should be paying a lot of money for the right to give these ‘in kind’ contributions to the Radical Left Democrat Party. These are not shows or entertainment, they are simply political hits, 100 percent of the time, to me and the Republican Party,” the 45th president said.

A spokesperson for Meyers didn’t return ITK’s request for comment.

Meyers has been one of several late-night hosts — including CBS “Late Show’s” Stephen Colbert and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel — who have skewered Trump on a regular basis on their shows.

The “Saturday Night Live” alum said in 2018 of the then-president, “[Trump] turned himself into an object of ridicule.”

Melania wanted some more tennis lessons and so once his nurses had strapped him into his bed they left the TV on and put the remote out of reach.

Bill Gates on Trump meeting: ‘Frankly I was impressed’

by Sarah Polus -
01/17/25 9:03 PM ET

Billionaire philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates reflected on a recent dinner he had with President-elect Trump in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, saying he was “impressed” by the former president.

“I had a chance, about two weeks ago, to go have a long and actually quite intriguing dinner with him,” Gates told WSJ editor-in-chief Emma Tucker.

Gates said the discussion during the dinner, which Susie Wiles, the incoming White House chief of staff, also attended, focused on innovation in the global health sphere. Trump reportedly got “pretty excited” as they discussed the potential development of a cure for HIV and polio mitigation efforts.

“He, in the Covid days, accelerated the vaccine innovation,” Gates said, according to WSJ. “So I was asking him if maybe the same kind of thing could be done here, and we both got, I think, pretty excited about that.”

Gates’s foundation, the Bill and Melina Gates Foundation, notably has initiatives targeting both issues.

“He was fascinated to hear what he could do to maximize the chance that during the next four years that incredible milestone will be achieved,” Gates said of possibly eradicating polio.

“I felt like he was energized and looking forward to helping to drive innovation,” Gates said about the conversation during the nearly three-hour dinner. “I was frankly impressed with how well he showed a lot of interest in the issues I brought up.”

The meeting comes shortly after Trump posted on X that Gates requested to join him at his Florida resort, Mar-a-Lago. The billionaire and former president have met several times in the past despite Gates occasionally being critical of the president-elect.

Note the "impressed" surrounded by craw marks  Of course DonOld would jump again at the idea that he would be the one in the history books to erradicate deseases. While at the same time his health secretary RFK jr is opposed of any vaccination :blackeye: Never forget that DonOld heralds any new subject brought to his attention while expressing the opposite opinion the next day in favour of his newest fad.

That's because the writer was quoting the exact word. I don't think it signifies anything.
