From the Nevada Independent article:

“For example, on Aug. 29, 2019, a $3,700 check was written from Fiore’s PAC to Siegel. That same day, prosecutors argued that Siegel cashed that check and someone made a $3,620 payment to Fiore’s plastic surgeon.”

I think she probably has grounds to sue.

The jury went into deliberations at 12:47pm, so not long. I'm sure they all had a nice lunch during that time. (Speaking from experience, there's a nice deli that the court uses for those lunches.)

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A jury on Thursday found former Las Vegas City Councilwoman Michele Fiore guilty on all charges in her federal fraud trial.

The Nye County judge was found guilty of six counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. She had pleaded not guilty.

Jurors in the federal fraud trial heard closing arguments on Thursday morning before beginning their deliberations at 12:45 p.m. It took jurors less than two hours to agree on a verdict.

Fiore is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 6 at 1:30 p.m. Each count carries a potential penalty of up to 20 years in prison

As with any conviction, sentencing is impacted by whether the sentence should be concurrent or consecutive (and a whole bunch of other stuff). Also, the federal sentencing guidelines are, um, a bit complex. I have decided a Ouija board or Magic Eight Ball would provide a more accurate prediction than me trying to figure it out using the guidelines.

It's non-violent crime. She'll get Hotel Hollywood and suffer through her years at a recreation of the Baywatch set. Getting an even tan is so hard these days.

Yes, this is the ultimate punishment for her. I'm also hoping she gets at least several years in prison. I don't expect each count to run separately, although that would be nice for her.

On the up side, from what I understand, the amount of money defrauded will add an additional up in the sentence calculation...
