Tim Walz' son is quite overcome. I can't imagine how intense and overwhelming this has to be for a young person.

I checked; Gus is 17. Hope is 23.

He lost it when his father said his family is his whole world. When Gus started telling everyone "that's my dad, that's my dad" I just about lost it myself.

His short videos with his daughter Hope are adorable, I believe she was in tears also.
I posted the link above because I was curious about the family. Hopefully he won’t be overwhelmed by the media attention. The article I believe was posted today.

Reddog's post above explains Gus is on the spectrum. His outburst was understandable.

It’ll be difficult for Gus if when his father is sworn in as Vice President in January, in the middle of Gus’s senior year of high school. Does Gus move to Washington with his folks, or stay with friends/relatives back home in order to complete his senior year in Minnesota?

 ! Message from: Foggy
So this time, neonzx has chased away Luke with his incessant nastiness.

And he agreed with me a second time that the rumor ol' Wifehorn heard was horseshit, but he apparently is utterly unaware that the forum is supposed to be an enjoyable experience. Once again, I was trying to lighten the mood, but neonzx decided to scold me and shut me down, because I said "make it fun". He doesn't like jokes. He doesn't like fun, from me, Luke, or anyone else. He's a nasty piece of work.

He thinks he makes the rules here, but fun is not allowed. Hell, if you read this thread, he thinks he's in charge of the Democratic Convention. "Can we put in John Legend now?"
:waiting:

Luke has a lot of fun here. Neonzx disapproves, and is nasty about it. Luke is sensitive. Neonzx told him, essentially, to fuck off.

Maybe there's something else going on in his life, I don't know. But I am reaching the end of my rope.

He does look better without the 70s pornstache.
And the hat reminds me something Roger Stone has worn.

Good question. I'm not sure any of us are qualified to speculate. Trust mom and dad have it handled. Seems they've done good job thus far.

I agree with trust the parents.

I would venture a wager that, should we win in November and The Second Lady decides to stay in MN so her son can finish the school year at home, which right wing media outlet will shout that they've separated and divorce is imminent?

And whatever irony meters are still functional at the time will explode because Melanie did the same thing with Barron.
May the bridges I burn light my way.
