One Guy Had A Really Bad Debate and Disappeared. It Wasn’t Our Guy - In the debate Donald Trump was bat-shit crazy. It was in my view his worst major public event since he started running in 2015.. We know from the live polling that night that people recoiled at his performance. While Biden has dropped in the polls since the debate, Trump has not gained.
The evidence the Trump campaign was worried about the Trump we all saw that night was that they’ve taken him off the campaign trail. His first appearance in twelve days was last night, at one of his own golf courses in Florida not in a battleground, and he was just as bat-shit crazy as he was in the debate - praising Hannibal Lechter and going on what can only be described as truly insane rants like this one:
Meanwhile our guy has been out there campaigning in the battlegrounds, leading the world at a NATO Summit, getting aid to flood victims in Texas etc. Since the debate one guy has been out there hustling, doing the work, leading the nation and the world and the other guy, their guy was taken off the trail. I really believe the Trump campaign is worried about him, and as I wrote yesterday, his extremism. They know this version of Trump - more extreme and dangerous, bat-shit crazy on the stump, rapist/fraudster/traitor/felon, is going to be a very hard sell, and it is going to be hard for them to win.
Stuff like this is also going to make it harder for them. Presidential candidates need everyone on board to win a close election. That they are telling Haley to get lost is another sign of how reckless and crazy Trump 2024 is.

Again, here, in the real world, we should view all this as a sign of weakness and desperation not strength and savvy; another sign that if we do the work we can win this thing, together.
Putting this here so it's not distracting from the shooting yesterday-before that, there were several threads on twitter about how these rallies are getting smaller, partly because numerous venues and cities have never been paid. I wonder if it's a sign that popularity is waning. Why not have a rally in a Republican suburb of one of the big urban areas? Because the campaign would have to pay? Or because not enough of a draw? Both? Something else?

Having it out in the suburbs would just piss people off because the streets would be blocked off for half the day and it would disrupt legitimate commerce. Airports are usually out of the way, with some sort of controlled entry/exit mechanism set up already.
Are there any shots of the crowd at all? Any estimate of the number? It was apparently hot af - lots of calls for medics for overheating situations. Why doesn't he have these summertime rallies in an indoor venue? What kind of place was this particular outdoor venue?

He's too cheap to pay more for indoor venues. He has stiffed too many municipalities. This is located in or near the Butler County Fairgrounds, which I think just finished up its annual ten-day county fair, a really big event there.

I watched the Congressional Hearing today as Christopher Wray was asked the question whether or not he noticed any Cognitive Degeneration in his many conversations with Crooked Joe Biden and, despite the fact that Special Counsel Robert Hur said, effectively, that Joe Biden is INCOMPETENT, with LITTLE MEMORY, etc., Wray said that “it is not something I observed during my interactions with him, which were uneventful and unremarkable,” essentially stating that he found nothing wrong, mentally or physically, with “Joe.” If that is the case, Director Wray should resign immediately from the FBI, and stop “sweet talking” Congress every time he goes up, which he loves to do, because anybody can see that Joe Biden is cognitively and physically challenged, and if you can’t see that, you sure as hell can’t be running the FBI - Unless, that is, you want to illegally lead the Raid on Mar-a-Lago. Wray has to resign, and NOW, for LYING TO CONGRESS!
