Lordy, there are tapes and CNN has them. Wow.
Re: Rudy Giuliani
Umm one of the recordings has Trump's ukraine negotiator Kurt Volker. Volker testified during the 1st impeachment hearing:
The audio recording makes clear that yes he was aware. Sure looks like he perjured himself."At no time was I aware of or knowingly took part in an effort to urge Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Biden. As you know from the extensive real-time documentation I have provided, Vice President Biden was not a topic of our discussions,"

Haven’t read it thoroughly yet but the motion to suspend categorically debunks most of the false election fraud claims. Rudy has 20 days from date of service to make a written request for a post-suspension hearing.

Re: Rudy Giuliani
While I have no problem with the court suspending his license for lying to court, I think the court is overreaching a bit with lies told to others.
Giuliani has a duty of candor with the courts. But disciplining lawyers for false statements generally would catch more than just Giuliani.
The NY ethics rules do have very broad no-lying provisions. And Giuliani's primary defense was the First Amendment, which the court rejected. So I'm not saying the court is wrong; just that this broadness is going to invite criticism.

Giuliani -- or lawyers representing him -- is set to be in court in DC Thursday afternoon over a defamation lawsuit from the vote management company Dominion Voting Systems, which is suing Giuliani and others for statements they made alleging election fraud.
On Jan. 6, 2021, I believe only one shot was fired, or was it multiple shots from one source? The person shot, Ashli Babbitt, was unarmed and being lifted up by two unidentified men. Why are those critical identities being covered up?

Smolla was the director of the Annenberg Washington Program Libel Reform Project, and author of the Annenberg Libel Reform Report that emerged from the blue ribbon task force on that project. He has also testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the topic of the reporter's privilege.[10]
He is the author of several books on the law and First Amendment issues, including Jerry Falwell v. Larry Flynt: The First Amendment on Trial, and Deliberate Intent: A Lawyer Tells the True Story of Murder by the Book. Deliberate Intent described his involvement as attorney for the plaintiffs[11] in the notorious Hit Man book case. Smolla successfully represented the families of three murder victims in a suit against the publisher of a murder instruction manual used by a hit man for guidance to carry out the murders.[12] The book was made into a television movie by Fox and the FX Cable Network, and actor Timothy Hutton portrayed Smolla.[5] His book Free Speech in an Open Society won the William O. Douglas Prize.[13] He edited A Year in the Life of the Supreme Court, which won the ABA Silver Gavel Award.[14]
Smolla has also written extensively for the legal academic world, including the legal treatise Smolla and Nimmer on Freedom of Speech (Thomson Reuters West, 3 volumes, 1996); Federal Civil Rights Acts (West Group, 2 volumes, 1994); and Law of Defamation (Thomson Reuters West 2nd Edition 2000, 2 volumes);[15] and Law of Lawyer Advertising (2 volumes, Thomson Reuters West 2006).[5] He is also the author of a case book on First Amendment law, The First Amendment: Freedom of Expression, Regulation of Mass Media, Freedom of Religion (Carolina Academic Press 1999), and the co-author of a constitutional law case book, Constitutional Law: Structure and Rights in Our Federal System with Professor William Banks, 6th Edition, Lexis Nexis 2010.[5]

Co-counsels like Powell? Because this order is from the New York courts, which oversee New York law licenses.Volkonski wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 12:42 pmDoes this suggest that his cocounsels may face suspensions?Uninformed wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 11:53 am Haven’t read it thoroughly yet but the motion to suspend categorically debunks most of the false election fraud claims.
