I wonder why that now former judge's eyes kept darting to the left as he was speaking to the journalist. Was there something to the left that kept catching his eye or was he simply unable to look her in the eye as he spouted his bullshit?
May the bridges I burn light my way.

Douglas County probate judge charged with felony in Atlanta
By Johnny Edwards and FOX 5 Atlanta Digital Team
Updated June 20, 2024 7:13pm EDT
ATLANTA - Douglas County Probate Judge Christina Peterson is facing multiple charges after she was arrested early Thursday in Atlanta.
Jail records reveal Peterson is facing felony obstruction of a police officer by using threats or violence and simple battery against a police officer.
According to an Atlanta Police report obtained by FOX 5, an officer working an extra job at the Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge on Peachtree Road in Buckhead went to speak with a woman who was crying in the lounge's valet area early Thursday morning. When the officer approached the woman, he allegedly was hit in the head by Peterson.
The report says that Peterson refused to identify herself and "appeared to be under the influence." After she was taken to jail, Peterson reportedly refused to tell officers her name and instead told them to notify another officer, who shared her identity.
The judge was scheduled to have her first appearance at Fulton County Magistrate Court on Thursday morning, but waived her appearance.
Douglas County probate judge found guilty of ‘systematic incompetence’
By Randy Travis
Published December 5, 2023
DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - Tears flowed during testimony over whether an embattled Douglas County probate judge should be punished for her actions both on and off the bench. Christina Peterson faces 30 counts of violating the judicial code of conduct, including decisions she made before ever becoming a judge.
In April, Peterson was found guilty by a Judicial Qualifications Commission panel of "systemic incompetence," with the panel recommending that she be removed from office.
The first-time judge has also been the subject of several FOX 5 I-Team investigations since she took office in late 2020.
The panel determined Peterson ignored courthouse rules, abused courthouse personnel, made inappropriate posts on social media and, in repeated cases, failed to do her job.
A hearing panel recommends Douglas County Probate Court Judge Christina Peterson be removed from office.
The decision came after four separate hearings that began in September 2023. She faced 30 counts of misconduct.
In their report, the hearing panel said Peterson was guilty of "systemic incompetence… (Judges) are expected to act in a manner that promotes the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary. Respondent has shown that she cannot — or will not — do so. And so she must go."

Wayne Co. judge who brought unregistered, loaded gun to DTW faces new charge
New charge involves unregistered firearm, Wayne Co. prosecutor would recuse herself
By: Ross Jones

ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Wayne County judge who brought a loaded firearm through airport security at Detroit Metro Airport in June could face a new charge over the weapon not being registered.
As 7 News Detroit was first to report in June, Judge Cylenthia Miller brought a .380 caliber Smith & Wesson firearm into the airport on her way to a flight to New York.
According to a police report, the gun “was not artfully concealed” and “there was a round of ammunition chambered.”
The gun, the judge told police, was not registered. Her attorney Todd Perkins says Miller has a valid concealed pistol license
“This is not something to be embarrassed about, I don’t think,” Perkins said Monday. “It’s a mistake that occurred. It’s not even a lapse in judgment.”

a prior incident, police officers let her goHarris Co. judge makes first court appearance after 2 run-ins with police, DWI arrest
ByBrandon Hamilton KTRK

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- In an update to the story first reported by ABC13, Harris County District Court Judge Kelli Johnson found herself on the other side of the bench on Tuesday morning after being arrested on a DWI charge last week.
Johnson appeared before a judge and her attorney as she was expected to sign her bond conditions.
ABC13 was inside the courtroom, where the judge's demeanor was described as "empathetic" to the charges that she was facing.
The district attorney's office recused itself in court, and because of that, a special prosecutor will be appointed to continue handling the case.
The judge and her attorney spoke with news outlets following her appearance.
"Judge Johnson is now, does now, and always has been a big believer in the judicial process, and she's going to let it play itself out," her attorney said.
Initially the state asked that Johnson have an ignition interlock device, submit a random urine sample, and have a Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor, or SCRAM device.
However, the judge did not order those for the bond conditions. Instead, Johnson will have to appear in court, commit no other crimes, and not have any drugs without a prescription.

From the 9th's certification:
... and that's just the words. The certification details the inappropriate actions. The Committee’s investigation revealed that Judge Kindred created a hostile chambers environment for his law clerks. Judge Kindred appeared to have no filter as to the topics he would discuss with the clerks. He discussed his past dating life, his romantic preferences, his sex life, the law clerks’ boyfriends and dating lives, his divorce, his interest in and communications with potential romantic or sexual partners, and his disparaging opinions of his colleagues. He also made disparaging comments about public and political figures. Some examples of these comments include: “I was a huge hit at dinner Partly due to how much shit I talked about Sarah palin”; “I told a republican [state] senator to eat a dick”; and “[a senator] is worried that I can kick [] his ass.”
He also had no hesitation in using language that was inappropriate in a professional setting, such as encouraging rating people based on “fuckability,” stating that he was not “hoe-ignorant,” or telling stories about “giving blow jobs in a hot tub.” In the few instances where clerks came to Judge Kindred to discuss his inappropriate behavior, they were belittled or ostracized, and, in one instance, a clerk left the clerkship.

To be fair, the former president probably didn't know this person.
But the 9th is still considering an impeachment recommendation, to ensure that he won't be appointed as Project 2025's Earl of Alaska, or whatever.

State Supreme Court Justice facing removal after threatening to shoot Black teenagers
CBS6 Albany
24 Jul 2024
A New York State Supreme Court Justice is suspended and facing possible removal from the bench after threatening to shoot a group of Black teenagers. It happened at a house party near Utica in the summer of 2022, but police body cam video and report findings from the incident are just now being released.
This week the Commission on Judicial Conduct called the judge's actions racially offensive, saying Justice Erin Gall can no longer serve as a fair and impartial judge.

For completeness: In New York State, Supreme Court justices are trial court judges with "unlimited" jurisdiction, as distinguished from judges of village courts, small claims courts, and other petty courts. Other states would refer to equivalent judges as "superior court" judges. New York's appellate court of last resort is the New York Court of Appeals.

The New South Wales judicial watchdog has upheld a complaint against District Court Judge Robert Newlinds SC over comments made about the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP).
The comments were made during a sexual assault trial in December last year which alleged political expediency on the part of the ODPP and alleged vilification of the complainant.
The Judicial Commission's Conduct Division, a three person panel headed by NSW Chief Justice Andrew Bell, heard the complaint.
It recommended that Judge Newlinds not be able to hear criminal cases in the "foreseeable future".
