The Bronx — An NYPD officer shocked her partner Thursday night with information she'd received about former President Donald Trump's political rally in the Bronx.

The two K-9 officers watched their dogs sniff the grass just south of the Crotona Park stomping ground for Trump and the crowds who gathered to both to support his campaign and to protest his presence.

The officer informed her partner of a report she received from the NYPD's aviation team, whose helicopters could be seen hovering over Trump's presidential rally.

The news: Aviation estimated about 3,500 people were at the MAGA rally.

The crowds who gathered in the park were not limited to Trump supporters but included large groups of protesters who expressed outrage at the former resident protesting in their borough.

How many people frequent Trump rallies is a point of contention often thrown into doubt.

The actual number of supporters who filed into a recent rally in New Jersey was initially reported to be up to 100,000 people, but a later investigation put the number in the thousands instead of the tens or hundreds of thousands.

I don't believe for a second that Trump is in contact with Putin and discussing with him the release of the Wall Street Journal reporter. Trump brags about every single thing he's going to accomplish while doing absolutely none of them. Trump is going to end the war in Ukraine. He's going to end the Israeli war. He's going to bring peace to the Middle East. Blah, blah, blah. He says whatever he thinks his supporters want to hear. Good grief... there are people who actually believe that unemployment is sky high now but it was extremely low under Trump. And FoxNews just reinforces all the lies. Putin is NOT going to discuss anything with Trump at this point in time.

Any phone call to Russia will be monitored by the NSA. On international calls there is no protection for US citizens, it's not they that get monitored but the answering foreign party, it's collateral damage that the US citizen gets noted. The former guy has no longer immunity on phone calls, if he really were to speak with BFF Putin it would be reported to the WH. Of course the WH would consider it prudent to keep the knowlege private for the time being. On the other hand Putin is too much a seasoned diplomat that would fall for a trap and get caught in conversation with a former disgraced head of state.
