Hm. You'd have thought Laity or Rondeau herself would have written something on the Post & Fail, but they're too self-centered for that, perhaps. Where's Rondeau's appreciation of her duty as a professional* journalist** to inform her reader(s)?

Not familiar with him, but that's a sad obit. No career, no real avocation, just kind of meandering through life, not even mention of respect/admiration from a community.

My first (generous) thought in reading the obit was "that's not too bad" but then I thought "hold on! that's the best that family could find to say about him and his deeds and accomplishments in a longish lifetime!"

Or perhaps they didn't really care? Maybe Strunky's crazy obsessions had alienated him from family, so the author thought "oh, I suppose we need to write something polite for the old boy, but I really can't be bothered."

I now recall that Strunky got slapped with pretty hefty sanctions in the NY courts for filing a frivolous case against the State Board of Elections and others. I think it was decided in 2013. I bet he never paid them.

I never knew Jack's real name until he claimed to be 97 years old. I was dubious so I did some research and found his real name was Jack Osborne from Santa Rosa, CA. His age actually checked out.

He was knowledgeable in some areas but was a troll. I think Doc C finally banned him.

I had to look up the Brown Act. It is a California law that requires public participation to be allowed in city council meetings.

(May 20, 2024) — 8:39 p.m. EDT – The Post & Email has just learned that journalist, author and longtime acquaintance Sherie (Sher) Zieve passed away on April 9, 2024. She was 79. Zieve’s last column here was published in 2021.

On April 18, TruthExpress Radio hosted a show focusing on Zieve’s life, writings and her book, “My Astounding Journey Home: The Gift.” Her last interview on the platform appears to have been recorded on March 21 of this year.

The Post & Email interviewed Zieve about the book on June 30, 2018, ten days after its publication. At the time Zieve told us she “really did not want to write” the book but that her “King nudged” her to do so. In it she described an out-of-body experience when she was 17 revealing “Home,” or heaven, where “the physical universe didn’t exist” and one could feel “total joy.”

Premonitions she experienced earlier in her life allowed her to rescue her sister and first husband, John, at different times, she told us. Zieve had been a widow since 1989 when her second husband Richard passed away.

“Our world is, currently, in the process of being taken over by those who would rule us in an all-encompassing tyrannical one-world governance environment and via any means necessary,” she wrote in the book’s prologue. “As citizens of European and North American countries are being replaced by migrants (aka illegal immigrants), civilization as a whole seems on the brink of utter dissolution. Attempts to replace God with heresy and hedonism are now a daily practice from the Luciferian elements of societies. The truth seems to be moving further and further away… leaving all too many with no stable environment and no sense of any deep and abiding love.”
