Update from Brand. Karl has been released since this was posted. Not sure Karl is ever coherent so must have been bad.

he is not totally coherent. He had a medical emergency and the EMT’s took him to the closest hospital which was on the Nellis AFB. The one hospital I didn’t check because I never thought he could be there as he is not a Veteran. I will check him in the morning, he has a catheter and they had him on IV’s for almost a week.

Why wasn't he taken instead to the AMFF National Command base for treatment? The AMFF Air and Space Guard would surely have tasked a helicopter for a medical evacuation?

Has POTUS been informed that the US is now almost defenseless with 100% of the AMFF stood down*?

I remember when the Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center) was built as I was working on Nellis at the time. (My youngest daughter was born at the old hospital during Desert Storm.) Being a dependent, I've been there many times, for prescriptions, radiology, and various clinics. It's an outstanding facility and it does take civilians:

Fully integrated into the Clark County emergency medical services (EMS) system, Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC) is the only hospital and only trauma center in northeast Las Vegas. The level III trauma center is the first Air Force medical facility to treat civilian critical care and trauma patients arriving by ambulance.

Probably has something to do with his diabetes and alcohol consumption as it will lower blood sugar to dangerous levels; high blood sugar kills you slow, low blood sugar kills you fast.

Depends on the beer. I'm diabetic and test regularly and have found that lagers are pretty benign. Of course that's in moderation.

Beer is not full of sugar (actually very little to no sugar) but it is heavy on the carbs. In checking around light beer has some sugar vs others and non-alcoholic beer is swimming in sugar.

Wine does have more sugar.

However, I could see alcohol messing with the body's ability to process sugar so whatever you have with the beer may not be able to metabolize well if you do not have your beer in moderation.

Carbohydrate is sugar minus 1 water molecule.

It gets converted to sugar in the body very quickly.

On Dec 27 kkkarl got cited in Moapa (Clark County NV) for driving the opvec with expired plates, revoked driver license, and no proof of insurance. He had a court date Feb 21 and was a no-show so a warrant was issued.
