I’m so old I remember when anti-gay crusader Anita Bryant decided to open an Opry in artsy fartsy, gay-friendly Eureka Springs Arkansas. And this was back in the late 70s or early 80s. I don’t remember exactly how long it lasted but it was glorious when it closed.
Normally, one would think things are better for the gay community in Arkansas now than 40 years ago, but I have a feeling that’s not the case.
