Portia, this is for you!!
In addition to theme songs, I'd like to add entire openings in this thread. Music is good but sometimes the video is great and deserves credit as well.
My latest favorite opening is Peacemaker. I love the song but it is (intentionally) the worst dance routine evah which makes so great. Plus Eagly.
I have lots more to add.
And if there's one or two that particularly grind on you, add them as well. One person's favorite song is another person's ear worm.
But let's save soundtracks for another thread.

Not a theme song, but I'll stick here to avoid going further OT elsewhere.

If you want to revisit many of your favourites, Leland played on an amazing number of them and likely has a video talking about it.

That was interesting. I did love that song. I was glad to have that one stuck in my head.John Thomas8 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 7:10 pm If you want to revisit many of your favourites, Leland played on an amazing number of them and likely has a video talking about it.

I’ve mentioned elsewhere that I like this series.
The series amazingly follows the novels mood very well. The opening theme helps set the mood. I think it could be considered an earworm. Mick Jagger is a fan of the books, and requested to write/co-write the theme.

Fun Topic! Gosh, there are so many.
The 699th's Theme Song!
Just Gotta...
This corny show still makes me laugh, Petticoat Junction. Bea Benaderet (Betty Rubble's voice) and Edgar Buchanan are classics.
After all that sugar... True Blood (I Wanna Do Bad Things With You)
The opposite: The Borgias
And still my favorite, it's been my phone ringtone for years... The Avengers!

ETA: This is, IMHO, the A-number one, greatest TV theme in the history of TV themes. YMMV but mine won't.

I have a super embarrassing admission. I made my own "mix tape" of TV show theme songs back in the day. Yeah, I know that totally qualifies me for a gay-card. LOL

Fav (and not so fav) TV and Movie Themes
A few years ago a friend bought an LP with about 40 TV theme shows on it and played them one night over dinner. I was the only one who got them all right. Most got about half.

I love the Peter Gunn theme. Our high school marching band had a routine that we did to it (probably about 1970).
