Thank you both. I have long appreciated all the understanding and support I've gotten at Fogbow. You all have helped keep my spirits up. My neighbors and my employer have been equally supportive. I have not been alone (though I do have a lot of dishes to return now).

As mentioned earlier, this is a picture from 2019 I found on her phone. And since it is a new phone this year, she must have moved it from one of her older phones to keep close to herself. It's never been in my collection before. I'm usually behind the camera. So, there are few of me and her together. I am glad she kept it.

Well, it's been three weeks since Mrs passed away. I've figured out the passwords to her phone and laptop. From that I gleaned the contact info for her family that are spread like seeds to the wind across the country. Several emails were sent, and responses are coming back with the most common request being recent pictures of her.

We used to take real photos that were developed at the drug store, and somewhere around here are scrapbooks and boxes of pictures. I haven't found those yet. Sometime around the Bush 43 administrator we went full digital. At first they were taken on a small Nikon that was dutifully downloaded on a PC from the era. Then she bought a nicer Nikon SLR, and those pictures were downloaded to another PC. As we graduated to smartphones, the Nikons were shelved, and all pictures were taken on our phones. I had mine. She had hers. Those pictures may or may not have made it to our respective computers of which we've got many.

We've kept every one. We've got desktops, and laptops, and tube CRT monitors, and LCD monitors, and computers integrated into the monitor, and thumbdrives, and keyboards, and mice of every species. Some still work. Some don't. Thus began the collating of all these photos. Wow. We are terrible photographers. Why we kept so many red eyed, blurry, tortured grimaces I'll never know. But, I did find some good ones. And they have been dutifully distributed this morning. I hope they enjoy them asmuch as I did wandering down memory lane.

Pretty much the same sequence of camera trade-offs here. I have only recently gone just to iPhone camera as there's really no one to share the photos with anymore.

Oh boy. Yeah. I know that feeling. I watch something on TV, or read something in the news, and for half a minute I imagine what I'll tell her. I still mentally jump when it's time for her meds. Still.

Here's a cute one. Boy child #2's first daughter from his first wife, and the year was 2003. Little miss Danielle now has a daughter of her own that just turned three.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Oddly, I recall finding some of the same pots and pans at Macy's a few weeks later at a better price.
