I got the new COVID, RSV and flu shots at one time last week. That was a lot of fun for a couple of days.
Same shots, in one arm. Much easier than previous shots.

p0rtia wrote: Fri Nov 03, 2023 10:03 am Time for one of my favorite quotes from Mr. Shakespeare (RIII):

We know each other's faces,
But for our hearts? He knows no more of mine,
Than I of yours;
Nor I no more of his, than you of mine.
I stole liberally from this in a speech I had a character give in a virtual tabletop roleplaying game session once (it was a Star Trek game, he was rambling in a personal log about the week's plot and how it revealed fault lines in the friendships of the main characters). It then rambled through some chess analogies about how we assign each person in our lives a role on a chessboard and then we get all pissed at them for being their true selves and not the role we assigned them as a piece in our lives. The other participants in that game still quote it back at at me for being my jumping-the-shark moment of soliloquizing. 'No ragerts', as we say.
But the sunshine aye shall light the sky,
As round and round we run;
And the truth shall ever come uppermost,
And justice shall be done.

Goddamn I just realized this, and I've seen those movies several times since I was a kid....
