This is Fox typical MO. They put this information on air. They will likely bury a "correction" somewhere on their website. Right where the cable watchers will never see it. That is typically how Fox operates, they don't put corrections anywhere the viewers of the misinformation are looking. But then they point to "see, we DID put out a correction!".

This country will never get back to normal as long as Fox is allowed to call themselves "News". They claim their viewers "know" they are watching opinion. Except if you ask people where they get their NEWS from, an unhealthy percentage of Americans say "Fox". Then you ask what TIME they watch their news, and they answer "Prime Time". Which is exactly when Fox is NOT airing the one hour of actual news programming they still have on their cable network. So, obviously the viewers do not understand that what they are watching is opinion and not news.

I listen to Bongino's podcast most nights. I don't know why. To keep my finger on the pulse of the nutjob view? Anyway, today I'm listening to it now, for some unknown reason, so I'll share a few nuggets of wisdom.

* Biden wants to raise the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%. That is higher than communist China. It will add to inflation. Corporations will pass it on by cutting salaries, and raising prices. If Biden wants to put more money in the American people's pockets, he will CUT the corporate tax rate further, which will enable corporations to increase wages and cut prices. Any business school graduate knows this.

* The inflation problem is solely a direct result of Biden's policies. He could completely eliminate inflation right now, today, by making a few policy adjustments. He won't because things as performing as designed, how "they" want them to go. The policy changes? Approve drilling in all of ANWR today. Approve the Keystone pipeline today. Approve construction of three high-capacity refineries today. That's it. This will have the effect of immediately dropping the cost of fuel futures, which will have the immediate effect of dropping airline prices, dropping gas prices, dropping transport prices for all goods which will immediately drop the prices of all goods on the shelves. Any business school graduate knows this. We are dealing with children in the Biden administration that don't even understand basic principals.

I guess Danny Boy wasn't alive when Ronnie Baby was president. The whole rising tide lifting all the boats thingy. I further guess that he was asleep when the tRumpian Tax and Corporate Welfare Cash Act was enacted in December 2017. Businesses had their 15 minutes of fame in early 2018 by announcing that immediately! all employees will be receiving bonuses up to $5,000 each! Shuttered plants would reopen in months and scores of new jobs added! Manufacturing jobs that were outsourced to foreign countries would be repatriated with dozens upon dozens of jobs created because, thanks to our fearless leader, we are Making America Great Again!

That sentiment lasted about six months. Flush with cash, corporations started repurchasing their stock (which increases the share price), paying down debt, reconsidered the costs of reopening and repatriating jobs, and stopped the share the wealth bonuses.

Truth is, that just don't happen here. Corporations exist for the shareholders. Period. Executives with their multi-million dollar cash, deferred compensation, and stock options for hundreds of thousands of shares will see them unemployed and those options not being vested if the bottom line suffers. I mean, who can live comfortably on ten million a year when there is another fifty million or so in stock options hanging out there ready to be picked when ripe?

To spend significant additional resources on employees (people) and community relations and other feel-good stuff sorta takes the wind out of capitalism and starts to resemble the dreaded socialism.

Isn't there a happy medium out there?

Read Zero Fail: The Rise and Fall of the Secret Service by Carol Leonnig. The Service has a lot of issues. And although they're supposed to be apolitical, apparently some didn't (don't?) hesitate to put their pro-tfg swag on display at work.
