So was she full of shit then, or is she full of shit now?
Both.
Definitely both. In the “apology,” it STILL equates mask wearing with the Holocaust. Unless I’m reading it wrong.
my hope was to share my genuine concern & fear, and do all that i can to make sure that nothing like that ever happens again.

Stetson and other brands are dropping hatWRKS, a Nashville hat store under fire for selling Star of David patches with the phrase “Not Vaccinated.”
People protested outside hatWRKS in Edgehill Saturday, saying using the Star of David was deeply offensive to the 6 million Holocaust victims.
“As an American, I am outraged,” protestor Kevin McGurk said Saturday. “I’m offended, and I have to stand here in protest.”
Protestors said they wanted to stand up to hate.
Saturday, Tiede tried to visit the store again to see if Gaskins had a response to the protest outside her building. The building was closed. Tiede tried messaging hatWRKS on Instagram. A message appeared saying the page couldn’t accept our message. Tiede then tried calling. The voicemail box was full. Finally, Tiede emailed, which went through.
Then, a couple hours later, hatWRKS posted an apology ...
Others followed suit, like Tula Hats, Kangol Headwear, and others.

Hatwrks is fucked .... I don't think the company will survive this.
The following companies are no longer working with Hatwrks:
Stetson
Kangol
New York Hat Co
Tula
Giovannio
Goorin Bros
Mayser (considering legal action)
Milano
Akubra
Bailey
Brixton
The following companies are investigating this issue:
Stefeno
Tilley
This company has turned off it's social media accts:
Magill
The remaining 14 companies haven't said anything yet, don't have frequently updated social media pages, are in very different time zones, or don't have webpages. Companies with social media accts are getting lots of comments about Hatwrks.

Good thing she was "willing" to put her business on the line because it looks like it might come to that soon enough.
She can't recover from this. Her suppliers are cutting her off and people are going to stop buying from her physical and online stores. I'm certain that those companies that were selling to her will demand that she returns the products that she currently has in stock.
Some folks will make a purchase to try to help her, but hats aren't something people buy a lot of. Many of her new customers will buy from her once. She's losing all of her high earning products. The average MAGA is working class or middle class.
She's toast.

Hatwrks had an exclusive hat from Stetson.
They also have their own line of original designs. At $699, I can't see many, or any, MAGAts buying these atrocities. Check out the 'Green Eggs and Scam' from their 'Seuss' collection. Ugly.

Imma still trying to figure out how a hat sells for $699. A little help here?
Hair clippers and headphones?
One of my Stetsons was a relatively cheap purchase back in the 80s. I still wear it and it still looks good. I also have cowboy boots that are 20+ years old that I still wear regularly. New soles every few years and they're good to go. $699 doesn't seem unreasonable to me at all for people who buy and wear cowboy hats. Hell, I know people who spend $50 for concert t-shirts.
Too funny! Scrolling through their 'originals' section, the names of the hats are a dead giveaway of their politics.
"big big brother"
"hunter is a crackhead" (This one is actually a cool looking hat.)
"only you can prevent socialism"
"storm's a brewin"
"all hats matter"
"blue hats matter"
If you run into someone (as I have) that has no problem comparing "vaccination passports" to the Star of David, ask them (as I did) if they believe The Holocaust was a vaccination. At least for me, they had no counter argument, and I did not have to provide logical extensions.
The vaccine passport isn't even a thing. TSA still requires masks on public transportation. The only thing resembling a passport is proof of vaccination for entry into some countries (and Hawaii) to avoid quarantine. It's not mandatory, but you need a negative test before traveling if you haven't provided proof of vaccination to avoid quarantine. Cruise lines require proof of vaccination to travel on them. No one is sent to a death camp.
