As a very reluctant Hoosier I can tell you this is very true. (One day in the not so distant future I hope to be an ex-Hoosier.)

I haven't figured out how to post Facebook posts here yet, so I just copied the text from this one (it's an all-text post, so everything is here.)

From Jim Wright:

WARNING: SARCASM AHEAD

Well, I certainly I hope President Biden is working closely with our Ambassador to Israel so he can ask the House of Representatives for the appropriate funding in support of our allies...

Wait, what?

Oh.

So, we don't HAVE an ambassador to Israel because Rand Paul blocked the appointment over some goofy COVID conspiracy?

And the House is in fail mode, without a Speaker, unable to consider or pass ANY legislation, because Matt Gaetz wasn't getting enough national news coverage before his run for Florida Governor?

Meanwhile, it would seem that the leading Republican candidate for president is not only giving away OUR military secrets, but likely gave Israeli intelligence to Iran via Russia. Like you do.

Well, at least Biden can confer with our senior military officers and formulate a plan of ... what? What's that? Tommy Tuberville?

Oh.

Maybe we can get CNN to tell us more about Biden's dog then.

That about sums it up.

Dumb-ass journalists don't seem to understand that they are some of the first tfg will go after.

I think the problem is the version of the Bible they now use as the main book of worship....

I'm pretty sure Prosperity Gospel is not what Jesus had in mind but what would I know? Evangelicals have driven me further away from religion than I've ever been. I grew up Methodist, became a skeptic in my early teens and have drifted further away my entire life. I honestly don't know what I believe anymore but I figure if there is a god and heaven I still have a better chance of getting there than half the self-described "Christians" I've known. What a lot of these people believe makes me want nothing to do with religion.

I think I have a better chance of getting into heaven than these self-proclaimed christians screaming how pious they are from the street corners, and I'm an atheist. I know that I know their Bible better than they do.

(Let me stress. I am not talking about all Christians, just these idiots who think Trump is a tool of God. He's a tool but it sure ain't of God.)

I just call them 'paulists' at this point, since that (plus choice bits of the old testament, which is supposed to be superseded anyway) seems to be the only canon part most of them care about.
