I am pleased to report that I was on this year's promotion lists.
Alas, I'm not the first in my class to be promoted -- I had one fellow from my cohort of 8 who all came in together have that honor last year, though he claims to share the credit with me since I was actually *recommended* for promotion in 2021 but the State Department ran out of slots at the appropriate pay grade before they got down the list to my place on it.
So now I'm in, with that colleague and another one from that class who promoted alongside me this year. It's nice. My first actual merit promotion. I'm floating and I have to be up in about 6 hours to run a virtual tabletop RPG sessions so I am going to TRY to crash now. But I wanted to share with you lot for being so supportive.
