Clickked over into CNN saw some of the crappy reporting. Let's see -- Rudy flies down on a chartered plane but then needs a bailbond agent? No, nothing at all sketchy here.

In Riverside County I used to see a billboard for a bail bondsman that was very well designed to inspire confidence.

It said, "WE'LL GET YOU OUT IF IT TAKES TWENTY YEARS"

As a legal pleading, it is too snarky.

But everyone knows this original request wasn't serious, and the less-than-fully serious opposition knows it'll be shared far and wide. (And it will prevail in court too, also.)

Yeah, snarky, but not extraordinarily so. The opposition did show signs of haste, though, and the prosecutors might have taken the snark out of the first draft if they hadn't also been busy working on a much more important paper also due today: the prosecution's submission for the evidentiary hearing on Mark Meadow's notice of removal.

Judge rejects former DOJ official Jeffrey Clark's attempt to avoid arrest in election case

A federal judge rejected an effort by former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark to avoid arrest or having to surrender in the Fulton County 2020 election subversion case.

US District Judge Steve Jones denied the request by Clark, who asked for an emergency federal court order that would have put on pause the entirety of the state court proceedings – including efforts to arrest any of the case’s defendants – in the prosecution brought by District Attorney Fani Willis.
