But Trump's hands are surely of the finest steel!

What an incredible guy! Literally fantastically heroic and unbelievably loyal!

That's the way to hold the pike, a sword points and rests on the ground. Of course we know he is not a warrior, all those bone spurse protected in tin foil. His underlings will have made sure that the sword is not sharp at all, matching his mental acuity. Better no let him out on the battle field of wits at a presidential candidate discussion forum :cantlook:
Or at least if you're gonna hold it upright, hold it by the freaking handle! Otherwise, you might be in for an ouchie, depending on how sturdy the palm of those gauntlets are....
If a sword is really sharp and battle ready it will just slip thru the gauntlets by weight and cut them up. What does one do when something starts sliping in your hands? You grip even harder ... Apart that it shows how not ready for a battle this guy is, for any action he would first have to change the grip on the sword. :blackeye:
Just 'cause this be Da Fogbow and we knows all sorts of weird stuff.......

Not to support that truly cack image but there IS a method of sword fighting, usually with two handed broadswords or "bastard" swords called "Half-Swording".

With this the swordsman (or woman) grasps the blade, typically with the left hand, in front of the guard, whilst still holding the handle. The use was to provide greater force and accuracy with a thrust, that could be aimed more accurately at a weak part of the armour of an opponent.

There is even a name for the section of blade of the sword for this, the "ricasso" asection usually left unsharpened, specifically for grasping.

I could continue and elucidate at length about the difference between a swords "fighting" edge sharpness and a razor edge, edge geometry, primary and secondary bevel edges and differential tempering but......

And as Donnie’s underlings will find out

It is very easy to strike someone in the back while standing in front of them if you have a sword (or mace or axe or… you get the idea).

Hold your sword 🗡 as if you were a waiter with a tray at shoulder height but with the blade behind your head.

Punch forwards, swinging the blade through 270 degrees, rolling your wrist.
This will position the blade behind your opponent, then snap back your right hip (if sword is in right hand) while pulling back your sword hand to over your shoulder.
(Bonus is your sword is now in high guard to party or thrust).

Thrust me… you can easily put a large dent 14 gauge steel with a bit of blunt 2” diameter ratan doing this. :)

Would it be correct to assume that if Trump were in federal prison and won the presidential vote, he could instantly pardon himself and get released?

But if a state manage to pen him up, he wouldn't have that pardon power … so get moving you state attorneys general!!
