Kari Lake (finally) asked the Arizona Supreme Court today to hear her (second) Election Contest appeal. It apparently took the Court of Appeals transferring it to what Lake called "the most Marxist part of the state".
I wouldn't be surprised if SCOAZ, at this point in time, just said, "Nah."
I'm sure those people appreciate her opinion of them.
So clearly as governor Kari would not have represented the "most Marxist" part of the state. What about just the plain old Marxist?
BREAKING: Hamadeh's Motion For New Trial In AG Election Contest DENIED
Abe Hamadeh is getting long-awaited trial court closure today, although not the result he was hoping for. Judge Lee Jantzen DENIED the Motion for a New Trial that was first filed in January.
Although it is not yet signed by the judge, Hamadeh's legal team will likely file their (first) appeal next week, after Jantzen rules on the sanctions motions and related matters.
As Arizona's Law has been detailing, the delays in what is supposed to be an expedited Election Contest process lay mostly on the bench. (Hamadeh's team filed several supplements, which may have led the judge to believe that his 60-day clock kept getting reset.)

Kari Lake, Finchem & Abe all lost their court cases again today. Conspiracy theories don't work in court & often results in sanctions. Lake & Finchem sanctioned $122,200 for making false stmts. Abe lost AGAIN, this time his motion for new trial. Courtroom is not the campaign.

I sued .@KariLake’s Judge and wasn’t sanctioned because meritorious claims don’t get sanctioned. Unfortunately, you’re too much of a little b**** to speak with me about the substantive issues with Maricopa County’s elections.

mmmm no, the lying little bastard did not “Sue” the judge. He filed a petition for writ of mandamus, and that along with his endless unwanted amicus briefs all got tossed. In the garbage, most likely.
The latest revelations show Maricopa FAILED to install the Dominion software approved by the Secretary of State (5.5) & instead installed 5.10 for the election.
Meaning, the election was conducted with UNLAWFUL software.
The machines warned Maricopa of this incompatibility. These warnings were ignored.
Trainwreck.

Is that something in AZ, to go directly to state supreme court in fast path?
I think so. Lake tried this on her appeal in the original election contest and was denied. She should have done this a lot sooner. Apparently after her case was transferred to Division 2 her lawyers decided to do this.

"Kari Lake’s attorney Kurt Olson filed a petition to transfer their lawsuit to the AZ Supreme Court from the Court of Appeals. Olsen made his plea based upon their claim to have “extraordinary, new evidence,” citing his reasoning with statutes & claiming that the lawsuit before the courts has “statewide importance & the urgency of remedying the election maladministration affecting the 2022 election in the upcoming 2024 election." https://frontlineamerica.com/new-filing ... -election/
SCOAZ doesn't consider new evidence...

Also, I wasn't this so called "new evidence" related to stuff that happened BEFORE the election, and that had nothing to do with the reasonsxwhy AZSC kicked the case back to the lower court in the first place?
