The wayward Kennedy, who is challenging Biden for the Democratic nomination, is proving to be a very useful idiot for MAGA demagogues like Steve Bannon and Roger Stone.

Kennedy has been ballyhooed on Fox News with gushy interviews with Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity. Republican megadonors like David Sacks and Omeed Malik are fundraising for him. He has also been endorsed by the founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, and implicitly supported by Elon Musk, who is driving Twitter into the ground. Both Roger Stone and Steve Bannon have been giddy with praise for Kennedy, even suggesting him as Donald Trump’s 2024 running mate. And Rolling Stone revealed that a pro-Kennedy super PAC was organized by a Georgia-based Republican firm that has recently worked for Marjorie Taylor Greene, Herschel Walker, and George Santos.

Kennedy has hit just about every right-wing hot spot with the exception of the dining room at Mar-a-Lago. Last Thursday, he was a featured speaker at the Porcupine Freedom Festival, or PORCFEST, an annual far-right libertarian festival in New Hampshire where attendees had to be warned, “To attend this private, high security event, you will need to leave your gun behind.” And this week, he will join five of the leading GOP presidential candidates—including Donald Trump—at an event in Philadelphia sponsored by the militant book-banning parents group Moms for Liberty.

The Athletes of all countries loved Roy & HG's piss take. Their wrestling coverage like you saw in this video was the ONLY coverage it got and while most were freaked out at first, but they soon discovered it was done with a love of sport and realized that the obscure sports being satirized were getting more attention than they had got in any Olymics ever. RFK Jr. is surging only in polls among Republicans

Sean Hannity had a full agenda for his show on Monday night. He had to explain away the recording of Donald Trump discussing a classified document. He needed to cast evidence-light allegations against President Biden. And, in keeping with a theme, he wanted to present Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as an increasingly dire threat to the sitting president’s renomination.

“With RFK Jr. … surging in the Democratic primary, is Biden in trouble?” Hannity asked at the top of his show, teasing what was to come for his audience. “We have details tonight.”

He never actually got to those details, perhaps because he had to devote more time to that recording than he’d intended. But The Washington Post can report categorically that the details are as follows: Kennedy is not surging in the polls — except when we’re talking about people like Sean Hannity.

That Kennedy pulls anywhere from a few percentage points to a sixth of the vote in Democratic primary polling has been a subject of fascination for a while. There are a lot of reasons for that, including that Kennedy, son of the late senator and former attorney general, is a Kennedy, Biden is generally unpopular, and the idea of a vigorously contested Democratic primary is more interesting than the idea of a lightly contested one.

Yeah, helicoptered to the base camp and escorted to the 13,900 foot peak by half a dozen of the most experienced North American ice and snow climbers, lead by Jim Whittaker, who is, amazingly, still alive.

I mean, sure, RFK behaved himself appropriately. I remember reading and being moved by the National Geographic article, and it was an OK political stunt, but not much more.

Trump, of course, who was ferried in a golf cart to avoid a short uphill walk, would have been squealing like a pig and demanding evacuation after ten minutes, but Trump is not a measure of any kind of virtue.

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dished out wild COVID-19 conspiracy theories this week during a press event at an Upper East Side restaurant, claiming the bug was a genetically engineered bioweapon that may have been “ethnically targeted” to spare Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people.

“COVID-19. There is an argument that it is ethnically targeted. COVID-19 attacks certain races disproportionately,” Kennedy said. “COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese.”

Kennedy’s remark echoes well-worn anti-Semitic literature blaming Jews for the emergence and spread of coronavirus which began circulating online shortly after the pandemic broke out. Jewish organizations blasted Kennedy for his remarks.
