But the corporate media narrative is the various prosecutors are desperate to prove that he _knew_ it was wrong, because OTHERWISE the jury wouldn't CONVICT. Then they through to a legal beagle to define
mens rea and affirm that WITHOUT THAT, bla bla bla.
As Claire McCaskell said yesterday, "Oh look, they've proved for the eleventy billionth time that he knew he was breaking the law. When the eff are these effs going to indict?"
Every Friday since Feb, I've thought "It has to be today." Since April I've thought it's too late to ever bring him to trial. Now we have weekly lefty porn parties about MORE EVIDENCE that we wouldn't have if Garland and Smith and listened to ME and indicted TOO SOON.
I consider Garland and Smith to be utter failures. I suspect there are a lot of folks in the DOJ who are tearing their hair out at the gentlemanly inaction. I left "patient" in the dust a while ago. It's not the proper response at this point, IMO; it's our job to demand justice.
ETA (after reading the GA news about booking the courthouse): Another reason I don't think this or any other Friday in the foreseeable future will be I day fro TFG is because there is no buzz, no prep. The country is going to explode when he is eventually indicted, and we'll know about it, IMO.
Of course you all know how much I hope I'm dead wrong about the "when". My opinion about Garland and Smith stands, either way.
