Well, dang. I thought I heard something outside. It's windy and snowing to beat the band and I lost a tree. It's partially in the street. I'll call the tree company which did trimming for me a year ago. Hopefully they can take care of it quickly. I'm just glad it didn't hit any buildings or vehicles!

We just spent some quality time in the basement but the main threat seems to have passed now. There was a tornado touchdown just a few miles east of us and, according to our subdivision FB page, the funnel passed right over us. It doesn’t look like we had any damage here though.

This is Whiteland Indiana, which is due east of us, as of this morning. There are no reports of serious injuries though there were some people trapped in their homes last night.

Twelve counties in SW PA are under fire alerts. Super, super rare. It's not that we are at low water levels; it's that we haven't had much rain in the last few weeks.

This ended up being the only time in my lifetime that we never had to shovel snow the entire winter. It was rainy, though, but you don't have to shovel that.

10 days ago I used my snowblower to clear 7” of wet, heavy snow from my driveway.

Today it hit 81°.

I seriously thought about that, but decided I needed the exercise and I wanted to use up the gas in the snowblower.

Last week we had flood warnings. Now we have Red Flag warnings (i.e. fire). I guess this happens when the humidity actually makes it all the way down to 30%. I don't recall seeing that here before.
