Greg Abbott @GregAbbott_TX wrote: Texas has bused over 14,300 migrants to sanctuary cities to relieve overwhelmed border communities.

We continue to take unprecedented action in response to Biden’s open border policies.

We have a friend from Mongolia. She moved here when she married our friend Chao Li Chi. She is from Ulan Bator and taught at the University.

Her son and his wife had their first child in June. Her parents applied for a visa to visit in May and just had their interview. They are going to be rejected because America thinks they won’t go home again. Both parents are professionals in Mongolia but would have to retrain here and they’re old and have lives elsewhere.

My friend is baffled about why Americans think everyone wants to come and why we all think they’ll hide out somewhere after overstaying. Mongolians visas are good for 10 years but none of her crowd wants to come anymore, she says, since the OSG.

The stank is everywhere. We can’t wash it off

And then they'll wonder why the trash isn't picked up in a timely manner, or their lawn service is behind, or why it takes so long to get service in a restaurant, or have to wait hours on the phone to get an appointment, or stand in long lines at the checkout, or ....
May the bridges I burn light my way.

It's too bad Biden is too gracious publicly to give this the reply it deserves: "Dear Governor Abbot, I felt really horrible reading your letter until the Department of Energy reminded me why heating is a problem in Texas. It's you, Greg. Not to put too fine a point on it, but it's you. But because this is the time of year where we show each other who we really are, and I am really a helpful person, I'll just ask you, Greg: Instead of telling you to do it yourself, how can I help you to f*ck off, Governor?"
But the sunshine aye shall light the sky,
As round and round we run;
And the truth shall ever come uppermost,
And justice shall be done.

WWJD?! it's interesting to me that under original immigration policies, Abbott would most likely have been denied entry into the US because of his disability.

Here is an excellent article on the history of our immigration policies:

I got as far as Title 42 will increase the number off illegal immigrants.

Point of order, but anyone coming in under the dropping of Title 42 would be here legally.

I hate the term illegal immigrants. They're phucking people and people aren't illegal.

Hundreds of Chinese Americans protest in Dallas against 'discriminatory' Texas Senate bills

Ryan General

Chinese Americans from North Texas are protesting against two Texas Senate bills that would ban specific communities from buying property in the state.

Over 250 protesters flocked to John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza in downtown Dallas on Sunday to condemn Senate Bills 147 and 552, which they have denounced as discriminatory.

Bill 147, filed by Republican State Sen. Lois Kolkhorst in November 2022, will effectively prevent people with ties to four countries — China, Russia, North Korea and Iran — from purchasing Texas property or real estate if passed.

Meanwhile, Bill 552 will hinder companies with links to the four countries from buying agricultural land.

"I will sign it,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott tweeted on Jan. 15 in support of Bill 147. “This follows a law I signed banning those countries from threatening our infrastructure.”

According to Kolkhorst, the bill seeks to address national security issues with the singled-out countries.

I will sign it.

This is some messed up near concentration camp level stuff here. For shame.
A Euless resident named Kuo Zhang lamented how Bill 147 would have a significant effect on their family.

“My husband and I are expecting a baby and we were planning to buy a house for our extended family, too,” Zhang was quoted by The Dallas Morning News as saying.

A recent Texas A&M University graduate named Wei Wu finds both bills “hateful and discriminatory.”

“We are here, we pay taxes, we’re here to seek our dreams; we should not be discriminated against,” she said.

They gotcha covered on that one:
Sec. 5.0051. PURCHASE OF OR ACQUISITION OF TITLE TO REAL
PROPERTY BY CERTAIN FOREIGN INDIVIDUALS OR ENTITIES PROHIBITED.
Notwithstanding any other law, the following may not purchase or
otherwise acquire title to real property in this state:
:snippity:
(C) owned by or the majority of stock or other
ownership interest of which is held or controlled by individuals
who are citizens of China, Iran, North Korea, or Russia;

You let some dipshit politician write a stupid law, and I'll bet on expensive lawyers getting around it every time enough money is involved.

Every time, and give the points.
