It’s a Pyrrhic victory, since in January it won’t matter. Trump’s usual tactic of delay, delay, delay pays off again.

I wouldn’t say “Pyrrhic.” I would say “symbolic.”

Well, at least the cat is out of the bag. Some interesting details may be leaked, like how much has he actually paid in taxes.

I seem to remember that Mazars had said they were ready to turn things over pending ongoing litigation.

And getting things, at least tax forms minus the underlying documents, from the IRS should be simple.

I think the J6 committee should publish Trump's tax returns as an addendum to their report.

Would there be a problem with that?

They're not the Committee that is getting them, and there isn't a convenient way for Ways and Means to just give them to them. They are not intended by this ruling to become public, just the Committee (not even the full House) is going to have access.

He needs to hire more attorneys. They need to explain that in his reelection bid he is not "president" but merely a "candidate".

And if the handing over of tax papers is unprecedented, that's why the courts are here to say: Now is the moment to make it the first time. Dear Donald, you made history!

Well he’s right in that “lost honor, prestige, and standing” thing. But that’s due to Thomas, Alito, Beer Bong, and Amy more than anything else.

Just STFU already.

Unprecedented? Something that every President has done since Nixon, and under a law that has been in place since Eisenhower.

What's unprecedented is a FORMER President who since he became President has had dozens of personal cases heard by The Supreme Court to begin with, who else in our history has taken so many cases cases to SCOTUS (and lost every single one far as I can remember)?

What is unprecedented is a FORMER President being sued and prosecuted so many places for some many things at one time that networks have to hire extra people just to cover the investigations and hearings for one man. On one day he had a cases with major hearings in Atlanta for the 11th Circuit, Atlanta for Fulton County, New York City for the NY State Supreme Court and filed a motion for a case in Florida. They guy has to have more lawyers than Taft Stettinius & Hollister just so someone can show up for every appearance.

Re: the tax returns, didn't O'Donnell say that, even though the House goes R in January, there is also a mirror Senate committee that can now request and receive them, especially now that SCOTUS has decided?

Or was that a different case? It's hard to keep track.

Aside from taking off 100 pounds and adding two chipmunks to his hair, you can tell because they evened out his raccoon eyes.

How much did he have to rent $$ these two former "ladies" from Howie Mandel's Deal or No Deal slutty fest game show?
