Congratulations, sad cafe.

I recently had a conversation with the Social Security Administration, a very nice lady in our nation's capital who is helping us with our applications, and she got me to add ol' Wifehorn to the conversation so she could confirm a few things about me getting spousal benefits. So ol' Wifehorn came up to my office and was standing next to me, while we were on the speakerphone, and yes, full name and birthday and SSN and are you married to the flaky geezer dude standing next to you, yes, yes, yes, blah blah blah.

"And what was the date of the marriage, ma'am?"

"April 21st?"

Me: "No."

She's never going to learn our anniversary. I'm pretty sure I'm the only guy she married that day.

Dr. Vicklund and I hit 20 years in May. 34 month engagement, told my grandfather on his deathbed (he gave us his blessing and passed while we were still on the phone).

Happy Anniversary!!!!!

We’ve been married 32 years. I spent the last one in the hospital with pneumonia and didn’t notice.

It’s so good when you can’t remember how long cuz it feels like forever and yesterday at the same time. 💙💙

I still remember driving you and W4 to Myrtle Beach, and we compared how we met our spice (plural of spouse), and all three of us had stories that demonstrated how sometimes the Universe makes arrangements for you to meet that other person, and you don't have much say about it, because s/he is obviously the right person, and here we are literally ten years after that conversation and we're all still good. But it is nice to know the date you got married.

Congrats!

November 11 was also my parents' anniversary, 'way back in 19 and 45. They were married until my dad passed away in May 2013. So, sixty-seven and one-half years for them. May you have as many or more!
