Casual misogyny
I figure this has come up in enough threads to warrant its own space.

Re: Casual misogyny
It's been many, many years, the 80s I believe, but one of the networks had shows that featured Robin Givens and Julianne Phillips (at the time they were married to Mike Tyson and Bruce Springsteen respectively). The network ran an ad advertising the shows teasing (something to the effect of) "See what keeps Mike Tyson/Bruce Springsteen home at night. " Really pissed me off.
Anyone else remember it?

As I am involved with non-profit fundraising operations, I immediately went to annual reports of the New England Historic Genealogical Society to see how they have that listed. In their donor lists, she is only listed as Tabitha King. Industry best practice is to list those exactly as specified by the donor (within reason of course). If the news outlet really felt they needed to make a connection to a famous name, they should have said something closer to "Tabith King, who is married to noted author Stephen King..." or "Tabitha King, through the Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation she shares with noted author Stephen King contributed..."
The fact that Tabitha is the name the foundation chose to list on donor lists means that was intentional as she probably was the reason behind the gift from the foundation.
Every time the right-wingers whine about Bill Gates giving money, I instantly remember that it is the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation not just Bill. Granted, for various reasons, I understand this better than the whiners.

Key piece of information missing from the first video: she’s gay and he knows it. did he tell the cops that part?
He has not been socialized, this boy. He thinks his needs are paramount. Homeschooling contributes mightily to this mindset.

Fuck John Mac Ghlionn, and fuck Newsweek for giving him a platform. An unmarried childless man in his 30s could be JESUS CHRIST and respected throughout history, but god forbid a woman reaches the RIPE OLD AGE OF 34 without being married and popping out children. Fuck that.
Hey Ghlionn, eat a dick. And choke on it.
https://www.newsweek.com/taylor-swift-n ... on-1916799Taylor Swift Is Not a Good Role Model
At 34, Swift remains unmarried and childless, a fact that some might argue is irrelevant to her status as a role model. But, I suggest, it's crucial to consider what kind of example this sets for young girls. A role model, by definition, is someone worthy of imitation. While Swift's musical talent and business acumen are certainly admirable, even laudable, we must ask if her personal life choices are ones we want our sisters and daughters to emulate. This might sound like pearl-clutching preaching, but it's a concern rooted in sound reasoning.
