This would explain his lack of response. He was still out of country due to COVID restrictions when I arrived and we never quite managed to make it work.MN-Skeptic wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 1:37 pmAccording to his tweets, Mike has recently moved back to Hawaii and it sounds like he's now working for @AkivaMCohen.

Acyn @Acyn wrote: Rubio: The day I got elected in the Senate I had over $100k in student loans that I was able to pay off because I wrote a book
The question he was responding to was “Can you be a successful politician and tell people to pull themselves up by the bootstraps?”

Re: 2022 Florida Senate race
So everyone with a student loan is supposed to write a book that will pay off their loan? Seems legit.
May the bridges I burn light my way.

The FBI search of Donald Trump’s Florida home has put the state’s senior senator exactly where he doesn’t want to be two months before Election Day.
As polls show his reelection race getting tighter, Marco Rubio is treading carefully when it comes to the investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents. That’s because, while the former president remains popular among Florida GOP voters, Rubio is also the top Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee — a historically bipartisan panel with jurisdiction over the potential national security risks stemming from Trump’s possession of top-secret documents.
Publicly, Rubio is joining other Republicans in questioning the Justice Department’s grounds for seeking a warrant to search Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, and downplaying the investigation as a “storage” issue. To less fanfare, he’s also joining forces with a top Democrat to demand a formal assessment of any damages to national security related to Trump’s handling of the documents.

Just watched the Rubio v Demings debate.
Wow. I've never been sparked by Demings; felt she didn't have enough experience on the nat'l stage.
I'm now a fan.
Check out her passionate attacks on Rubio over abortion and especially mass shootings. Holy crap.

Haven't read the full article yet, but this thread is worth reading to get up to speed and good points on pointing out Rubio's hypocrisy.
Weird story: a Rubio canvasser was beaten, but initially didn't say anything about it being politically motivated. But then Rubio tweeted it was & the victim's story changed. Now Marco is using the incident to attack the media. Some Jussie Smollett vibes

Not only that, but Rubio flat out said using weasel words, that Trump was guilty as hell in the first impeachment trial but he shouldn't be removed because he was just so wonderful for the country.
https://senatormarcorubio.medium.com/my ... 69e82ccb43Just because actions meet a standard of impeachment does not mean it is in the best interest of the country to remove a President from office

I think that any sort of heated disputes between the hosts and these guests is resolved in advance before the guests agree to appear to be interviewed.
I have to assume that the producers for these shows submit a list of talking points to the individual (or his/her staff) for approval in advance. I further assume that the guest has some sort of control as to how far the host will press them on certain issues.
I think that if these guests knew that they would be pilloried by some of their remarks and their falsehoods or exaggerations would be critically fact-checked, that there would not be very many people who would be willing to appear for these interviews.
