Cops Behaving Well
All a cop has to do is protect and serve. You'd think, yeah, that it would be easy to behave well when that's your motto.Phoenix520 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 11:48 pm I haz a sad that this thread is only 1 page long.

But the sunshine aye shall light the sky,
As round and round we run;
And the truth shall ever come uppermost,
And justice shall be done.

The sad part is that page two doesn’t have an entry about cops behaving well.Phoenix520 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 11:48 pm I haz a sad that this thread is only 1 page long.

So, I will make the first page two entry. But it will have to be later when I’m home with a keyboard, but I have a good story about a very nice probably 30-something cop who deserves to have a nice entry made about our encounter.

Dunno why this popped up on my facebook feed, but the cops really do seem happy and frolicsome. Or rather dumb, depending on slang.

I am not going to read this article or watch the video.
The man who was shot, at an early age, was my son's best friend. His mom was our hospice nurse, and those who recall know that we were in the hospice program for three years, because we took such good care of ol' Wifehorn's momma. We knew her son had died. We knew she wouldn't talk about it.
I have photos of the kid and my son, on the swingset having a great time in a county park, and he was a good kid. I actually have quite a few photos of him.

Cops Behaving Well
I'ma put this here, but it was close.
Sitting in the locker room with the guys yesterday morning, getting dressed after a shower, and a cop walks in, in full uniform, and starts stripping down and putting his stuff in a locker, and I'm a wisenheimer. So I said,
"Whoa, I gotta watch this guy, look at all the crap he has to take off!" because he was loaded up with all the cop gewgaws and gizmos on his belt and everywhere, and he says,
"Yeah, I got a full load here" which is when I notice the three stripes, so continuing in the role of wisenheimer, I said,
"That's what you get for making sergeant, a lot more equipment" haha I am teasing a cop, and that's when he says,
"If I wasn't a sergeant, I wouldn't be able to work out while I'm on duty."
Maybe this should go in Cops Behaving Badly. I was living in Bethesda, Maryland one time, and some asshole murdered two cops outside the mall I grew up in, and allow me to suggest that if something terrible happens in Rawly, NC, you don't want to be in a workout where it would take you 5 whole looooooooong minutes to get your clothes and gear back on.
I'm not speechless a lot, but I had nothing to say about that.
