Thank you, frens. Dunno if anyone else has experienced this but I feel kinda like I’ve had a factory reset. Everything, even things that haven’t been lately, works like it should. Aches and pains reduced, no worries in sight. 
Had an interesting week- dinner w/fam and friends, dog sitting, waiting for a couple hours at LensCrafters after a power outage in the 100° heat. Hey, FFS, it’s SEPTEMBER! Where’s the cool? I found out from many people that 70 is the new 40 so I feel pretty young tonight.
The Lenscrafter store manager, it turns out, is selling a beautiful, well-built house in the tiny town of Merlin OR - which happens to be pretty high on our retirement places list. It’s near my sister in Grass Pants; Rick’s cousin, a nurse, is nearby; two nieces in Portland.
And the opthomologist’s assistant, asking me about my tats - another personal connection. She knows my nephew’s music, she likes to go to raves. We got on the subject of fentanyl, as one does these days. She doesn’t like drugs but does feel a burning need to completely let go once in a while so she raves. She carries test kits wherever she goes, and Narcan, and educates people while she raves. She’s the kind of person who might have saved Ash if she’d been in his orbit.
Birthday week continues with more dog sitting tomorrow, lol. I’m really looking forward to the weekend. Much as I love my mr, sometimes it’s good to be by oneself. Mr is going boating; Sprout has a couple of gigs out of the area.
I’ma go wild! Maybe drink some coffee, watch a bunch of TikTok’s.
