I'll bet I could have the pickle pizza at the Picklesburgh Festival a few weeks ago.

The potted meat Twinkle look positively disgusting. What makes it worse is that the picture of the Twinkle is from an actual Twinkie package for Pumpkin Spice flavor Twinkies.
A review of the Pumpkin Spice Twinkies with a picture of the real box can be found at https://www.theimpulsivebuy.com/wordpre ... -twinkies/ The reviewer even noted the filling's resemblance to potted meat.

Those food photos look about as delicious as Chicken Lips and Limeade.

Re: Food but not recipes
A little-known state law banning sales of cartridges used in cans of whipped cream to those under 21 has only recently been noticed — and enforced — to the amusement of customers unaware of the not-so-new regulation.
The age limit was enacted nine months ago to curb teens from possibly abusing nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas. The nitrous oxide found in whipped cream canisters, when abused as a narcotic, is commonly referred to as “whippits” or “whip-its.”
State Sen. Joseph Addabbo, sponsor of the bill that became law, told NBC News on Monday that stores shouldn't be carding for canned whipped cream.
He said the law targets cartridges sold separately from a typical whipped cream can.
In theory, a youngster could buy a can of Reddi-Wip, break it open and remove the cartridge of nitrous oxide, according to the lawmaker, but that's not his target.
"It's actually the cartridge or charger" that's being banned from sale to young people, Addabbo said Monday. "It's a small two-inch charger or cartridge, those are the words in the bill."
The lawmaker said of stores carding over canned whipped cream: "That was never the intent of the bill."

Oh sure. That's what he says now that the law is in the headlines.
He is probably in the pocket of Big Cool Whip.
Good thing for him that the local strawberry season is long over.
This needs to be clarified before next June.

Re: Food but not recipes
My sweetie was of Czech descent and loved sauerkraut. We went to a Czech heritage celebration a number of years ago and one of the foods they had for sale was zelniky - a cracker made with sauerkraut - which my husband loved. I'm not a fan of sauerkraut so it's not something I would consider making, but I have two church cookbooks from my sweetie's area of Iowa where there were a lot of Czech settlers. The recipe for zelniky is pretty basic - sauerkraut, flour, lard, and salt to taste. Maybe something you want to try making. One recipe I found on the internet was Zelnicky Czech Sauerkraut Crackers. None of the recipes from the church cookbooks included caraway seeds. I doubt my sweetie would have cared for them in zelniky.

My husband loves sauerkraut but he’s not allowed to make it unless I’m out of town. Sorry, but the slightest whiff makes me nauseous. Sometimes he’ll get the jar kind and cook it and eat it outside. He’s OK with me putting my foot down as long as he gets to have it a couple of times a year. I’ll be leaving for Italy in late October, so I imagine he’ll have some then.

I'm looking at the sauerkraut, and I'm looking at the chili dog avatar, and ...
...
I'll take the chili dog, por favor. That looks really yum.

Off Topic
Well, first, I do four workouts a week with four different instructors, none of whom are personal trainers, and quite often they have substitute instructors, so I got to know a whole mess of 'em, which is how I got to be Faceplant friends with 11 fitness instructors. But they never ask the class about our diets or anything like that. They teach the class and chat a little bit about stuff, and go home. Oh wait, now I remember, one of them helped me use better form on a lunge, about two minutes out of her day, but that was it as far as personal training. In four years. Sadly, personal trainers can cost some serious money. What I do comes free of charge with my zero-premium insurance. And hell, a personal trainer can't do the work for you.
More importantly, of course, is the fact that I have done the work I've done so I can have a chili dog with cheese and onions every once in a while. They say "don't reward yourself with food" and that's good advice because you don't want your brain to associate food with rewards ... but sometimes you get to say, "Hay nao, I did the work."
In summary, I gained zero calories from looking at chilidog's avatar. I looked, I wrote yum, and I ate a bowl of granola with berries. That was also yum.

Edit: One time we hired a lady to work at the flower shop who told us she had been a personal trainer. I thought, well, she won't be averse to hard work (Narrator: the flower shop was really hard work, lifting buckets of water, etc). After two weeks, our chief designer told us she complained that she was being "treated like a slave". She was, in fact, allergic to hard work after all. But we don't support slavery, so we kindly gave her her freedom. I hope she's making good money as a personal trainer, because she couldn't cut it in a flower shop.

Re: Food but not recipes
I have never in my 65 years seen a recipe calling for 1/16 or 3/8 cup on anything that I can remember. Then again I don't remember quite as well as I use to.
Re: Food but not recipes
Thanks! This chart will be so helpful. I make multiples of seasonings and vegan cheese that call for tea- and tablespoons.
