I feel the same way, I wouldn't subscribe to the NY Times for a nickel.

However, ol' Wifehorn subscribes, and she gave me a login. So now I can read something there if I choose to. 'Course, she uses my login to Washington Post.

This isn't a current thread topic but it's a fun read. Remember when trump wanted to buy, or trade Puerto Rico, for Greenland? He was dead serious. Bolton hoped to work out a partnership with Denmark to tamp down China's Arctic influence by allowing us to establish a presence but, natch, trump blew it bigly.

Step-sis gave me this gift link. Here's hoping it still works. It's a fun read.

In case of further speculation regarding the legality of gift links on the forum, Commie Girl just posted a gift link to the failing NY Times on Wonkette in this morning's Tabs. I rest my case. :towel:

I would never subscribe to the WSJ for their regular $50/month rate, but I just got an offer for $4/week for one year. For that, I'll subscribe for one year. It looks like they do have some kind of share feature, but I have a hard time finding the details - i.e., all articles? how many per month? Whatever. We'll see.

I have a "promotional" Digital Subscription on WaPo for $4 a month (it was $2 the yeear before.)

Be aware of the renewal conditions. In may case WaPo wanted to go full standard price. So I cancelled the subscription. In return they lured me back with the cheap "promotional" offer.

I also have a digital subscription for the NYT, also at $2/month.

I give The Guardian a small donation in the range of $20 - $30 per year for ad-free access.

WaPo had a big sale over Prime Day, it was $2.00 a month for a year so went for it. Like others, if anyone needs a WaPo gift link, please post it and will hook it up. :bighug:

Hint: when the offer expires in a year, cancel it or it will continue at the full price. But when you cancel it, they offer you the $2/mth option again ;)

Hey thanks for the heads up on the sale. And it's still good today. If it was for Prime, it is Prime dayS, not singular. Prime days is still continuing today.
