I think he would claim he did, but in reality he is just a dipshit.

Boy, howdy, discovery on this one is going to be a hoot.

Note: Ben does not really believe there will be a lawsuit or discovery on this one.
But the sunshine aye shall light the sky,
As round and round we run;
And the truth shall ever come uppermost,
And justice shall be done.

I think I saw a tweet about this. It's not actually Fox running the ad. Instead the Lincoln Project runs it on the cable network which Trump uses, during the Fox news program.

That is correct to my understanding. Lincoln Project figures out where he is, then runs the ad locally so he is forced to see them, but they can't get rejected by Fox. At least that's my recollection.

I imagine it's much more cost effective to run a local-only ad. Plus it's hitting its target audience 100%.

Where we crime one, we crime all.
Federal grand jury probing Trump PAC's formation, fundraising efforts: Sources
The grand jury has subpoenaed several individuals in recent weeks, sources say.

A federal grand jury investigating the activities leading up the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and the push by former President Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the result of the 2020 election has expanded its probe to include seeking information about Trump's leadership PAC, Save America, sources with direct knowledge tell ABC News.

The interest in the fundraising arm came to light as part of grand jury subpoenas seeking documents, records and testimony from potential witnesses, the sources said.

The subpoenas, sent to several individuals in recent weeks, are specifically seeking to understand the timeline of Save America's formation, the organization's fundraising activities, and how money is both received and spent by the Trump-aligned PAC.

As I never tire of remindering y'all  I grew up watching Westerns and WWII shows and detective shows and so forth, even though I don't watch the Tee Vee none today.

But I know that when the sheriff is investigating a crime, and the bad guy is bein' shifty and suspicious, the sheriff (or other appropriate law enforcement dude or dudette) will tell him "Don't leave town."

This is different from the times the sheriff says "Get out of town by sundown." If the cop isn't done investigating, you gotta stay put.

So we can't let Trump leave the country, even if he wants to go to the funeral. He's a criminal suspect now, and we should treat him like one. :daydreaming:

I guess this was a lawsuit he filed accusing people of trying to rig the 2016 election for Hillary.

Trump Pushed Officials to Prosecute His Critics, Ex-U.S. Attorney Says
Geoffrey S. Berman, who headed the Manhattan office, says in a book the Justice Department pushed cases, against John Kerry and others, to help Mr. Trump.
This probably should have gone in the book thread. My bad.

HABBA says Trump plans to appeal the decision, describing it as "rife with erroneous applications of the law."

The judge basically said Trump didn't offer any facts to substantiate the lawsuit, which was full of conclusory/political language.
