Driving to work today, in 28 minutes I heard he was 79 years old 30 times, that he was double vaccinated 42 times, that his age was a major risk factor 21 times, that still don't worry because HM The Queen is 834 years old and she had it, so all good, that Trump had it and didn't die 198 times and

FFS will someone put Andrea Mitchell out of her misery? You can hear her shaking like she has Parkinson's over the radio, she can't speak in complete sentences anymore and in general its hard to tell if it's her or a SNL sketch about Alzheimer's.

I wanted to rip the radio out of the dash and throw it out the window.

And yet, watch Republicans run on how bad the economy is. Alternative facts, ya know.

And broader measures of under-employment -- here, I'm thinking of U-6 rate which also includes people marginally attached to the labor force and those part-time for economic reasons, -- is also at the lowest rate ever recorded.

A dear friend of mine I have known since I was in my mid-20s and she was in her teens (so, over 25 years), is a nut for the whole Unca Joe meta-meme. She collects them and now that he's Preznut Unca Joe, she'll be over-the-moon at this one. Truly. Since she's had a suckful August so far, I have sent it to her privately and I hope she will smile. Thank you for sharing this.

NYT:
Why the entire GOP defending Trump selling nuclear secrets to the Saudis and impugning the FBI spells trouble for Democrats going in to the midterms.
Also:
Biden less popular than Diet Berry Dr Pepper among 20/30 year olds of all races and genders.

I laugh but you honestly are not wrong. I'll add to "who don't vote" with "who cannot vote"(felony criminal record)

What percent of the 1776RM cult would u guess cannot vote?

I mean, I haven't yet tasted Diet Berry Dr. Pepper, but if it's as good as real Diet Dr. Pepper, and was running for President, I'd have to abandon Unca Joe. I hope you all would still accept me, but my heart wants what it wants.

Well, hell, I was a registered Libertarian from 1990 until 2020. But I'm the left-wing of that party and they no longer want me, so I'm kind of just a D by D-fault. Pulled the lever for a Democrat in 3 of the last 4 presidential elections (I did vote Johnson in '12, but couldn't do it again in '16). If the Republicans ever let a sensible candidate get out of the damn primaries, I'll consider it, but they haven't, not in more than 20 years. McCain's bid in 2000 was as close as I ever got for pulling that (R) lever, but I also preferred Bradley to Gore in that year, so go figure.
