Time to recognize Greek, Armenian and Kurdish territorial claims in Turkey.

Erdogan can seek asylum in Moscow.

The war in Ukraine could last for years, the head of NATO says, calling for steadfast support from Ukraine's allies as Russian forces battle for territory in the country's east.

Key points:
Jens Stoltenberg said supplying weaponry to Ukraine would boost the chance of freeing its eastern region
Britain's new army chief told troops the UK must be "ready to fight" wars in Europe
Analysts believe Russia will seize the town of Sievierodonetsk in weeks
Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said supplying state-of-the-art weaponry to Ukrainian troops would boost the chance of freeing its eastern region of Donbas from Russian control, Germany's Bild am Sonntag newspaper reported.

Will Russia be able to top NATO’s (the USA’s) probable “bribe”?

Putin's grand plan backfires as NATO formally invites Sweden and Finland to join alliance

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-06-30/ ... /101195474

The first full day of NATO's historic conference in Madrid has confirmed an uncomfortable truth for Vladimir Putin — that he has become the most effective recruiter-in-chief that the military alliance could ever have.

For someone who has railed for decades against NATO's expansion eastwards and used it as one of his justifications for invading Ukraine, it is quite an achievement.

But consider what has already unfolded at the summit in response to Russia's war on Ukraine.

:snippity:

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg taunted President Putin, saying his actions had been counterproductive.

"He's getting the opposite of what he wants," he said.

"He wants less NATO. President Putin is getting more NATO, while Finland and Sweden are joining our alliance."

Empty Gee thinks we should leave NATO. Let Vlad have his way with Ukraine and whatever else strikes his fancy.

Hawley: The Senate will vote today on whether to expand NATO by admitting Sweden and Finland. I intend to vote No and I encourage my colleagues to do the same..

Guess Hawley isn't the juggernaut he thought he was. I wonder how many notches the Benny Hill videos cut him down.

I think Paul tried to get an amendment in but failing, went along?
