Of course it did (and all other ways). He hit a median going at a way-way too high rate of speed. He bumped the median-- that stopped one tire of the car. The energy had to go somewhere.. objects in motion remain in motion....

He should be thankful to be alive. Screw the golfing -- and go be with his family.
I’m sure he’s thankful to be alive.

Even if he can’t play competitive golf any longer, he’ll still continue to build and work with his foundation, and he’ll also likely continue to design golf courses, personal appearances, and yeah, continue to spend time with his kids. His son is becoming a good golfer, swings a little like dad (go figger).

He’s not suddenly going to become a dottering old man sitting on the balcony wrapped in a blankie.

2021 Genesis GV80, retail for $47k-$60k, but of course Woods has a loaner, as Genesis was a sponsor of the event. Ten air bags, including one between the driver and passenger. The tech on that car undoubtedly saved his life.

It's in the 'premium' line (Genesis) of vehicles from Hyundai (and they actually are good vehicles in their price range)

Just catching up. It was several pages ago, but what the doctors describe about having to relieve pressure from the covering for the muscle on his right leg sounds like compartment syndrome. It's very dangerous and can result in the loss of the leg if not promptly treated. It involves making a cut all along the muscle and leaving it open for the time being.
Compartment syndrome is a painful condition that occurs when pressure within the muscles builds to dangerous levels. This pressure can decrease blood flow, which prevents nourishment and oxygen from reaching nerve and muscle cells.

Compartment syndrome can be either acute or chronic.

Acute compartment syndrome is a medical emergency. It is usually caused by a severe injury. Without treatment, it can lead to permanent muscle damage.
<<snip>>
Compartment syndrome develops when swelling or bleeding occurs within a compartment. Because the fascia does not stretch, this can cause increased pressure on the capillaries, nerves, and muscles in the compartment. Blood flow to muscle and nerve cells is disrupted. Without a steady supply of oxygen and nutrients, nerve and muscle cells can be damaged.

In acute compartment syndrome, unless the pressure is relieved quickly, permanent disability and tissue death may result.

Zero lot line homes are common everywhere. More house, less yard. Developers say it's what the buyers want, and apparently their right because they sell. But, it ain't new. Close in Portland is riddled with +100yo housing, and there are some very nice Queen Anne, Craftsman, and Gingerbread homes with barely space to walk between them. I honestly do not know how people get in there to paint and maintain the walls. No driveways cuz cars weren't invented yet, and postage stamp yards front and back.
