Tonight the guy whose family has owned that little store since 1800 called some of his buddies together and they all played music under a little tent in the parking lot at the store. We don’t have any near by actual “neighborhoods”, but there are lots of folks around and when something cool happen, which isn’t very often they all turn out for it. So that was very cool! They had a hell of a fiddle player!

So, I am sitting here practicing for tomorrow morning. While practicing hymns (and while playing them sometimes), I sing along to make sure the emphasis, phrasing, and breathing match the text and that my playing will help lead the congregation. And so the line went:
to the church in faith assembled,
to her midst as gift and sign
and I sang:
to the church in faith assembled,
to her midst as grift and sign

I eagerly await Sam of the Many Legs' witty response, once he stops laughing. ;)

Actually I have great affection for those who combine their religious beliefs with a clear-eyed understanding of the interplay between those and the world as it is. I couldn't do it.

So … well done!

I have tested positive for C19. I assure you that I have not touched a basketball in 30+ years.

No symptoms, and none of that monkepox crap.

The Constitution, of course, does not specify death by firing squad for treason. It says Congress shall decide the penalty.
