Nurse with cancer whose unvaccinated parents died of Covid still won’t get the shot
A nurse who lost her father and stepmother to the coronaviruswithin three days of each other said their deaths have not changed her mind about not getting vaccinated. Shanda Parish, who suffers from cancer, added that she does not regret her late parents’ decision not to get inoculated.

Parish and her parents Robert and Vi Herring, both in their 70s, are from the Fort Smith-Greenwood area of western Arkansas, where many residents are reluctant to get the jab, The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday. The Herrings contracted Covid-19 after attending a 52nd high school reunion event and both died at a Fort Smith hospital in late July.

Parish’s last communication with her father was a voice mail he left for her from the hospital, in which he gasped air.

‘It doesn’t even sound human,’ Parish said. ‘I don’t like hearing it, but I can’t delete it.’

Parish said she has felt scrutiny from her friends and others since her parents died, regarding why they were not vaccinated and why she did not encourage them to get the shot. She insists it was her parents’ choice and that she does not regret their decision.

‘We didn’t kill them, but some people make us feel like it’s our fault they’re gone,’ Parish said, tearing up. ‘No one should try to make you feel guilty because someone died.’

Parish said that what she does regret is that she was quarantining at the time her parents got sick, in preparation for a cancer treatment, and being unable to urge them to go to the hospital earlier. The nurse added that she still will not get vaccinated because she does not trust a newly produced jab.

But Parish’s brother David Herring, who lives near Washington, DC, responded differently.

‘I’m absolutely angry and frustrated,’ David said. ‘Their age and health conditions – they should have gotten vaccinated really early… And then trying to talk to friends of theirs and hearing these ridiculous things about depopulation and computer chips.’

David said he was not able to persuade his parents to get vaccinated, but has made it his mission to convince his relatives.

The late Herrings were married for 34 years and had five children between them.

Their death comes after numerous recent stories of coronavirus patients who begged for the vaccine on their death beds and family members who regretted not getting the jab after their loved ones died of the virus.
She feels judged because she didn't encourage her parents to get vaxed. Well, guess what, buttercup, as a nurse and daughter, you could have encouraged them. (Her brother really tried, though.)

She doesn't even regret not encouraging them to vax.

Her parents fell victim to the misinformation about chips and magnetism BS. They attended a high school reunion. They made choices and yes, I judge them for their choices. On the other hand, they were saturated by misinformation. It sounds like their son worked hard to counter that misinformation. But ... Arkansas.

I guess I need to be a little bit more understanding of their choices. Or not.

As one of our prolific members poetically states: "Fuck these people. Fuck all these people."

I have friends who are waiting to get their kids vaxxed (<12).

Some damn idiot neighbor woman tried to stick a metal trinket on my shoulder(injection site) because she believes everything on the internet like the magnetism.

I don't have time for these people.

My nephew turned 12 last week and as part of his birthday celebration he went and got his first Covid vax at the exact time of his birth.

He has been very excited and looking forward to it all summer.

I gone the ban hammer.

Carl banned me immediately after I posted about an FDA approved drug to treat polyneuropathy. Carl had said that mRNA treatments were only experimental and hadn't made it past animal trials.

After I tweeted about the drug new class of drugs, siRNAs, I noticed I had been blocked.

Oh come on! How are you smart enough to be a nurse but too stupid to look around and notice - hey! The millions of people around the world who’ve had the shot in the last six months are not, by and large, dropping like flies or shooting lizard DNA out of their eyes. But, uh-oh, the people who haven’t, are. (well, maybe not the lizard thing)

Yep, the entire world is in on this plot by the lame stream media and godless American lbtards to make you look like ridiculous sheeple … in a mask.

Fer chrissake, you’re embarrassing.

Facebook bans firm behind Pfizer and AstraZeneca COVID vaccine smear campaign

Facebook has removed hundreds of accounts linked to an advertising agency that sought to pay social media influencers to smear COVID-19 vaccines.

Key points:
The fake accounts targeted audiences in India, Latin America and the US
The ploy backfired when influencers in Germany and France exposed the network's offers
Messages seeking comment from the company were not immediately returned
A network of 65 Facebook accounts and 243 Instagram accounts was traced back to Fazze, an advertising and marketing firm working in Russia on behalf of an unknown client.

The network used fake accounts to spread misleading claims that disparaged the safety of the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.

One claimed AstraZeneca's shot would turn a person into a chimpanzee.

The fake accounts targeted audiences in India, Latin America and, to a lesser extent, the US, using several social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.

Russia has been actively marketing its COVID-19 vaccine, Sputnik V, abroad in what some analysts see as an effort to score geopolitical points.

But Facebook representatives did not speculate on the possible motivation behind the smear campaign.

My life is going to hell. The vaccination mandate came out this afternoon for government employees. And the anti-vaxers are sending shit emails - HIPAA violation (no, it is not), discriminating by making non-vaxed people wear masks inside (no, everyone wears a mask inside), how much money will the family get if the vaccine kills them (), ad nauseum.

Yes. I don’t know if the assessment of Franklin is correct but there are plenty of wealthy people there. Ever hear of Country Music stars? And it’s not just that industry.

An anti-vaxx blogger went viral and drew sharp backlash after sharing a video where she appeared to lick supermarket surfaces. Screenshot/Reddit

A blogger with a history of promoting medical misinformation and questioning vaccines went viral for licking items in a grocery store, falsely claiming that it would fortify her "immune system."

The 20-second clip, which was originally posted on Instagram, appeared to show a maskless Jodie Meschuk going around a supermarket and licking various items, including the plastic wrap used to carry produce, a handle to open a freezer door, and the handle of her shopping cart.

During the video, Meschuk, who runs the blog "Speak Up Butter Cup," overlaid the video with several misleading medical claims.

I hate people who do that. Hate, hate, hate them. To this day I can't listen to Ariana Grande. Not that I was a big fan before she started licking stuff in public, but now when she comes on it makes me want to vomit and I have to change the channel. This one is even worse in that she has kids, not just that she is one.

Was reading her blog a little, she claims vaccines caused her son to have autism, but that she "recovered" him through some sort of "natural" means to cleanse him of toxins left by "conventional medicines." :confuzzled:

Local officials in Texas can temporarily require masks, two judges rule
Two court rulings on Tuesday cleared the way for local leaders who oppose a ban by Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas on mask mandates to at least temporarily require face coverings to help curb a rise in cases.

The first ruling came in Bexar County, which includes San Antonio. Masks can now be required in public schools and other public buildings there.

Masks will also be required for county and city employees, said Andy Segovia, the city attorney for San Antonio. The chief executive of Bexar County, Judge Nelson W. Wolff, said that the ruling was important because many students who are too young to be vaccinated would otherwise be coming back to school with no protection.

The second ruling was delivered by a district judge in Dallas County who said the ban prevented officials from protecting residents during an emergency.

“Dallas County citizens will be irreparably harmed” if local leaders cannot require face coverings to stop the transmission of the virus, the judge, Tonya Parker, wrote in the ruling.

In light of the decision, Clay Jenkins, the county’s chief elected official, said he planned to issue an emergency order for the county on Wednesday.

Mobile Morgues Headed to Central Florida

Advent Health in Orlando and Volusia County are in the end phases of purchasing fleets of refrigerated morgues.

Florida Public Radio station WJCT has verified the purchases from the company Mopec. A representative from the company said, "The amount they bought could easily be dispersed throughout several counties."
