Harrison Floyd, one of President Donald Trump’s 18 co-defendants in the Georgia 2020 election subversion case, will appear before a judge on Friday morning, according to online court records.

Floyd is set to appear in front of Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee at 11 a.m. ET. He surrendered to Fulton County deputies Thursday.

Floyd, a leader of the organization Black Voices for Trump, faces charges of violating Georgia’s racketeering act, conspiracy to commit solicitation of false statements and writings and influencing witnesses in the Fulton County district attorney’s investigation into efforts to overturn the election results in the state.

As CNN previously reported, Floyd had arranged a meeting between Fulton County election worker Ruby Freeman and Trevian Kutti, a former publicist to musicians R. Kelly and Kanye West. During the meeting, videotaped by police, Kutti allegedly pressured and threatened Freeman, citing baseless claims that she was involved in voter fraud.

Not clear how this gets you removal to federal court... but IANAL..

Again, anyone can remove a case to federal court.

The action will be in the motion to remand back.

But this is a variant of arguments already made: a potential elector isn't working for the president or anyone else; even an actual elector isn't a federal officer because they're sent from each of the states.

The prosecutor might start kicking around Rule 11 sooner than later....

The CNN report on Chesebro’s whereabouts and connection to Jones is only a week old. Investigators likely haven’t even begun to dig into this sufficiently. But given time, they might learn many more things about Chesebro.

So if you’re Chesebro, why not raise your hand now, get the full attention of prosecutors among all the 19 defendants, and maybe work out a deal, especially now that you know from the indictments what they have and don’t yet have? Such a deal might overlap considerably with what you’re willing to tell Jack Smith in exchange for leniency.

It’s important to be the first one out of a pot that’s starting to boil.

What happens now?

The other defendants in the case now have a choice to make. Do any of them join Chesebro and essentially go to trial right away? There may be others who would prefer not to be lumped together with the likes of Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani, let alone the ex-president, in a vast conspiracy to overturn the election. As mere foot soldiers in this plan, they might prefer to go first and point the finger at others who were more culpable.
