Re: SCOTUS
Only way to get Thomas out would be Impeachment, and if you can find 67 votes in the Senate to get him out, you are a better one than me.
Besides, he is doing the job he was put in there to do. So is Roberts.

The Supreme Court on Friday evening decided, no, it was not going to needlessly insert itself in the military chain of command above President Joe Biden.
The Court’s decision in Austin v. U.S. Navy SEALs 1-26 largely halted a lower court order that permitted certain sailors to defy a direct order. A group of Navy special operations personnel sought an exemption from the Pentagon’s requirement that all active duty service members get vaccinated against Covid-19, claiming that they should receive a religious exemption.
A majority of the Court effectively ruled that, yes, in fact, troops do have to follow orders, including an order to take a vaccine.
The decision is undeniably a win for the balance of power between the executive branch and the judiciary that has prevailed for many decades. But the fact that the Court had to weigh in on this at all — not to mention that three justices, Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch, dissented from the majority — is a worrisome sign about America’s judiciary.

Re: SCOTUS
Manchin is a yes.
Sasse is a no.
Murkowski is teasing no (reelection year)
I'm waiting to hear from Tim Scott and Susan Collins.
Haven't heard from Romney, can't second guess him. He did criticize his party for attacking her over the child porn sentencing but hasn't said anything definitive. Sometimes he does the right thing, sometimes he's Mitt Romney.
But as long as Sinema is a yes and shows up, Jackson is in.
(I know her former donors are threatening her but she's probably got more than enough rich Republicans to support her that she doesn't care.)

Re: SCOTUS
I'd bet money Romney will be a No.
He considers everything Republicans do--except for out-loud couping--to be Real Conservatism, and everything Democrats do--except for calling out out-loud couping--to be anti-American.

Re: SCOTUS
ITA Portia. Just like Ben Sasse, he wants to deprive Biden of all powers and just would like his Republican comrades to be more genteel while they kill democracy. Maybe he'll surprise us, but probably not.

Re: SCOTUS
I am hoping that Vice President Harris will be called upon to break a tie vote, and that she comes in loaded for bear, and lays out in crystal clear and razor-sharp language just exactly what an outrage it would be to have to break a tie vote for her.
President Biden is a little bizzy, and he isn't a woman of color.
I'd like to see my Vice President step up and HIT ONE.

Read the linked article. Tweet/Comments are a bit misleading.

No link yet but a banner just popped up on Market Watch saying Collins is a yes.

It may be hard for Collins to back down because she was just on TV saying she is a "yes".

Re: SCOTUS
Read on DU today that Romney voted against her nomination to the court of appeals so I am guessing he will be a no. Manchin has already said yes. SInema voted for her nomination to the court of appeals last year.

Oh, Andy! That just means she lies out of both sides of her mouth!
