Even allowing for the general left-leaning of Fogbowers (in which I include myself), I am astonished that there is so little acknowledgment of just how disastrous that debate was for Joe Biden.

Yeah, because you can't tell how disastrous it was until November. It might not turn out to be so bad. Joe had a cold and Trump delivered a firehose of lies. Time will tell.

Maybe its just me, but I'm not seeing the usual flame wars erupting out there after this debate. The Trolls are not getting bites on either side, and even the usual Russian "Pretend to be arguing 2 people arguing extreme positions to start a flame war" stuff is pretty muted. The MAGA Trolls are just getting "You just keep voting for a Felon" responses.
I don't think, for all the effort of the media and everyone else to push Trump, that this debate is going to move the needle at all.

I didn't see it. Biden hasn't had a strong voice for a while, so I'm guessing it was worse.
Cold/hoarse voice vs. January 6/COVID deaths/most anxious 4 years of my life. Hmmm, what to do, what to do . . .
Of course, I ain't afeard of Kamala Harris as MAGA is.

That's how I see it. Or it's not going to move the needle toward the felon.
Dr. Jack Brown has caught the variety of facial expressions the felon uses when lying, etc.

I get your drift that you think there should be more catastrophizing, but I'm not sure why. No one is saying he was great. Or good. Or passable. Saying he sucked is accurate, but to me not a necessity for credibility. Moreover, a lot of shit went down last night. Lots to process. A lot of hopes fell flat.
My beef is the relative silence on the horror show from the other guy (not here).

CNN said in the last hour that it was 30 lies for fuckhead, and 9 for Biden.
NB1 Some of Biden's "lies" were obvious mistakes in numbers and not an intent to deceive.
NB2 CNN can't count, either.

Earlier on today, I was actually wondering whether that happened. It is pretty much on point, threatening the studio unless he got his own way. Typical narcissistic cowardice. He knew he would crash and burn if he was challenged in any way.
