Andrew McCabe's security clearance was deactivated when he was terminated, according to what we were told was FBI policy. You would think the White House would check with the FBI before trying to throw shiny objects to the press corps...
Saw on Twitter this morning Comey has already confirmed he lost his clearance when he was fired and there's nothing to revoke.

FOX: Sessions rips campus culture for creating generation of 'sanctimonious' snowflakes:
Attorney General Jeff Sessions delivered a blistering attack on campus culture in front of a group of conservative high school students on Tuesday, saying that colleges are creating a generation of “supercilious snowflakes.”

* * *

Referencing his time at Huntingdon College in Alabama, Sessions said that conservative students today face even tougher treatment from their more-liberal peers than they did when he was in school during the turbulent 1960s.
Oh, the irony.

It is sickening to think of the very real damage this maladministration is doing to this country. This was a perfect opportunity for Sessions to get serious and discuss what is, and isn't, appropriate behavior by people in leadership positions.

Of course, he can't do that, can he? He works for a man whose every single behavior would and should be called out as inappropriate for someone in a leadership position.

This. Is. Not. Normal. That really should show up at the beginning of every Democratic ad from now on. This. Is. Not. Normal.
Considering the "audience at a high school leadership summit" it was a great way to build up the future leaders of the Republican part. But maybe these are only the foot soldiers, political cannon fodder to trigger to vote where they see a "-R" and otherwise not think further. Does the Republican party expect some of these high school kids once to enter college?

CNN says the W.H. took "retaliatory action" against Kaitlan Collins after she asked Trump questions during a photo op. Questions included:
"Did Michael Cohen betray you, Mr. President?"
"Why is Vladimir Putin not accepting your invitation, Mr. President?"
As today's radio pooler, I was in the Oval Office with @kaitlancollins, heard her questions, thought they were good and timely ones, and find an official government sanction in response to them an absolute, stunning outrage.

Was just going to post this...although it verges on repressive more than clueless...I guess inappropriate questions are ones that Drumpf's delicate ears can't handle. Soon, I think, he won't be able to avoid hearing such queries...

I've never understood them being able to exclude specific media anyway. Didn't the courts just say he couldn't block people on twitter and yet he can just kick a reporter out of the pool?

Fox News released a statement saying it stands “in strong solidarity” with CNN after the news network’s reporter was banned by the White House from covering a Trump event after asking questions about the Michael Cohen tape that President Trump didn’t like.

As far as messaging goes, Senator Brian Schatz (D-HI) has been pretty good. And when I say he's been very good, I mean him, not his social media intern - he's handling his own Twitter account. (According to everyone I've asked who is active in D politics in Hawaii.)

Examples:

I was shocked on the Cohen tape to hear that the President is systematically trying to undermine health coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.

There is nothing extreme about wanting everyone to have health care and education, preventing the planet from warming up, or making sure our government doesn’t rip kids from their moms. Only in DC are those ideas “far left.” They are actually very reasonable and popular!

Today, I’m giving to House candidates. We need to flip 24 seats, so I’m cutting checks to the following 25 people. Feel free to match! Josh Harder (CA-10): @joshua_harder
Katie Hill (CA-25): @KatieHill4CA
Gil Cisneros (CA-39): @GilCisnerosCA
Katie Porter (CA-45): @katieporteroc
[rest of list in other tweets]

Today the Senate rejected a racist judge and affirmed that America shouldn’t turn over Americans to the Russian government. It’s not like we passed the Civil Rights Act but still not bad.
There is only one Rule of Law Party. There is only one Health Care Party. There is only one Science Party. There is only one Gun Safety Party. I understand the need for DC folks to keep up appearances but people across the USA don’t have to pretend the parties are the same.
"I don't give a fuck whether we're peers or not."
--Lord Thomas Henry Bingham to Boris Johnson, on being asked whether he would miss being in "the best club in London" if the Law Lords moved from Parliament to a Supreme Court.

Well. Isn’t that interesting.
CNN and Jake Tapper strongly supported Fox News when Obama tried to block Fox reporters in 2009. It’s what the White House Press Corps does.

I am not sure those Trump staffers were clueless about their violations of the Hatch Act. It is likely that they do not care.

I am sure I read somewhere that McGahn (sp) lectured all WH staff about this. Forget where I read it, but it was some months ago.

So the law does not apply to them. They are on a holy mission (not Trump; he just wants the (needed) ego boosts).

I walked out of the end of that briefing because I am totally saddened by what just happened. Sarah Sanders was repeatedly given a chance to say the press is not the enemy and she wouldn't do it. Shameful.

CNN's Jim Acosta repeatedly asked White House press secretary Sarah Sanders to say the press isn't the enemy of the American people. She didn't.

"I'm tired of this. It is not right," Acosta said afterward, expressing frustration after days of tense anti-press rhetoric. "It is not fair. It is not just. It is un-American to come out here and call the press the enemy of the people. And Ivanka Trump knows that. I don't know why her father doesn't." https://cnn.it/2n7m3He
