Michael Wolff described him in Fire and Fury as "a fifty-five-year-old trapped in a thirty-two-year-old's body."

I thought that was a kind description.

Put him in a Nazi uniform and he'd be right at home.

Yes. I think I have the actor to play him in the movie if he's still around. In The Rocky Horror Picture show (original).

The character name is perfect as well, "Riff-Raff"!

BTW, Richard O'Brien is still alive. He wrote the original stage play version of The Rocky Horror Show.

OT trivia. The Rocky Horror Picture Show holds the record for a movie's theatrical release.

It was first released in 1975 and has NEVER been withdrawn from release. It is still shown at midnight shows, in many cities.

I have been to at least one of them back in the days. What an experience - do they still allow the props in the audience these days? Like the lighters?

This is fun, but Milleris deadly serious. Does anybody have a serious thing to say about Miller?

How about his ideas? At Duke he was known for his beliefs in white supremacy and American exceptionalism. I presume he still holds those ideas. Has anything been added? Changed? Is he still the rebellious child of Southern California liberal Democrats?

We cannot win against these people unless we know their ideas and have far better ideas and candidates to offer.

But is anybody on TFB producing ideas to counter Miller?

My interest is in the 2018 elections (and hopefully in the 2020 elections).

The SPLC reports that Miller studied under Richard Spencer. So he's a Jew who is an acolyte of a neo-nazi. What more is there to know about him? Call him what he is -- a nazi.

What good does it do to say that? I agree that Miller is despicable. That will win no votes. Democrats may be doing what they know so well how to do: Lose Elections.

I disagree.

These guys really are vile & reprehensible. Lots of Americans are in denial about this, but it’s true objectively. We need to find ways to wake them up, those who can.

I would ask them questions, like

“Do you think John McCain would have colluded with Russia to get himself elected?”

“Would Mitt Romney have had to pay a porn star hush money to cover up his adultery?”

“Would Ronald Reagan have called American Nazis and White Supremacists ‘fine people’?”
The bitterest truth is healthier than the sweetest lie.

Honestly, I don't know what you're asking. Miller has no ideas. None. Zero. ZILCH. He has hatred. What it's rooted in, who can say. He may have a badly wired brain pan. There are no "ideas" to debate. There are ways to fight hatred. Truth. Justice. The American way. Well, the theoretical American way that never quite existed (there are some Native peoples who can talk about that).

Other than dig up dirt on his personal life, I can't think of much that can be done about him. I was encouraged that Lindsay Graham called him out as a contributing factor in the shutdown, but unless he keeps pressure on the OSG to dump him, not much will happen.

There is nothing we can "do" about Stephen Miller, short of voting Trump out of office in 2020. Or evicting him from office earlier, by taking over both the house and Senate in numbers large enough to force impeachment, not likely. In that case we get Pence, who is probably worse in terms of being able to actually help Republicans cause more destruction. So, I think we are stuck with just getting Trump out in 2020 and replaced with a Democratic president.
