President
@realDonaldTrump
graciously asked Sen Brown & Mayor Whaley to join as he and the First Lady visited victims, medical staff & first responders. It is genuinely sad to see them immediately hold such a dishonest press conference in the name of partisan politics.

Another. This one is marked as Dayton. Not sure about the one above. Apparently he's using them in his twitter feed but I have the SoB blocked. My soul can't take the audio.

Also, Scavino tweeted that he was treated like a "rock star" at the hospital. Because it's all about trump.

I should probably have posted these in the shooting thread, but this is more than just the shootings. This is the despicable pile of shit that is trump. So here they are.

Color me surprised. Not.

I'll post in the Tweets thread, but he's bashing the mayor and Sherrod Brown.

Hey @realDonaldTrump: Instead of attacking a @FoxNews host, a US Senator and a Mayor today, why don't you actually DO SOMETHING, like listening to your own @DHSgov agency and making combatting domestic terrorism a higher priority.

Hey @realDonaldTrump: Can you please stop being a jerk for a few hours & pay respects to victim, families and law enforcement, without simultaneously attacking others?

You are the President of the United States. Act like it. Stop making us cringe with your divisive statements.

Of course he loves Dayton. A dozen people in that photo. One woman, zero POC.

This is viewer video of President @realDonaldTrump and
@FLOTUS at @umcelpaso meeting with victims and medical staff. Send us any photos/videos of president Trump's visit to #ElPaso and we may show it on TV. Upload here: http://bit.ly/2YUnBo5
Do listen. He brags about his crowd size and how small Beto's crowd size was. No mention of when El Paso will be reimbursed...

WTH was Rob Portman and Governor Mike DeWine? Why are only Democratic officials supposed to show up and be fodder for his attacks?

I just had an interesting conversation with a crusty old[er than me] attorney that I did some work for about 8 years ago. I ran into him at lunch. We caught up. He told me he had been to a summer BBQ of his U.S. representative yesterday and said he went because he thought it was important to convey the following.

He voted for Trump. :( But he wanted to tell this (republican) representative, Jaime Herrera Beutler, that Trump is going to unelect himself if he doesn't get better economic advisers. Hates Wilber Ross. Hates the stupid tariffs. Hates Lighthizer. Hates someone else whose name I didn't catch. But thinks :rotflmao: that this rep might be able to make Trump choose better people. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Perhaps there's hope for us after all. One vote at a time . . .

Yabbut your former client illustrates an annoyingly under-appreciated aspect of the Dunning-Kruger Effect (a/k/a "incompetent but unaware"). He probably thinks he's an intelligent man capable of good analysis because he's an experienced and qualified lawyere.

Yet he's too f***ing stupid to appreciate that the whole Trump shitshow and its Republican collarators is responsible for the mess that he dislikes, and the the mess isn't a bug, it's not even a feature, it's a goal.

On an Ipad and can’t link, but George Will writes “the essential fact about the 45th president - Trump’s fascination with what he utterly lacks and unconvincingly emulates: strength. Hence his admiration for foreign despots, and his infantile delight in his own bad manners.”

I’ve always admired Will’s writing ability although I usually disagreed with his thoughts. His politics have changed in the past few years and this time i’m in total agreement with him. I especially love the phrase ‘infantile delight’ and find it to be a perfect description.

No hope apparent in that statement if he intends to vote for trump again, in the futile belief that trump will suddenly begin to make better choices. It's the Republican version of "any day now" that trump will magically begin to act like an adult.

His point was that he doesn't intent to vote for trump again, unless trump gets better economic advisers (which ain't gonna happen). That was what gives me a little hope.

That means he's good with the inciting tweets, the childish insults, the separations, the death of kids separated, the raids, etc., and so much more. As long as his wallet isn't lighter.

He has already picked and gone through Only The Best People. Gonna get better people? Ain't gonna happen.

I suppose jeebus could talk to him in his sleep and convince him the pick a cabinet of those who served under Obama. It would be good if he'd actually listen to these and follow their advice.

Exactly. He's a trump supporter. He can overlook a lot (or applaud DOTUS's . . . what was the term? . . . "infantile delight" with all of his cruel behavior.) What I didn't fully explain is that this guy was incensed at trump for his economic choices and tariffs. He went on and on about how upset he was about it. He went to the trouble of going to his representative's local BBQ to pontificate about it, and spent about 15 minutes complaining about it to me. This is a guy I barely know and haven't seen for a long time. And THIS is what he wanted to talk about. I didn't bring up politics at all.
