Former Rep. Robert Dold, R-Ill, announced on Wednesday that he will officially run for Illinois’ 10th District, setting up a rematch in one of the state’s most competitive seats.
Last cycle, Dold lost to now-Rep. Brad Schneider, D-Ill., by about 3,000 votes. The 10th District leans Democratic, and President Barack Obama won it with 57 percent last year.
Dold, a pest control business owner [dayum, that sounds familiar], was heavily recruited by the National Republican Congressional Committee to run again in the district, located north of Chicago.

A Democrat winning by only 3k votes in a D+8 district makes it suspect the Democratic candidate has some flaws.
For comparison purposes, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (D-08) also represents a district that is rated D+8. She won in 2012 by approximately 20k against a candidate that did have flaws, a bunch of them.
