Hillary leads Palin among Alaskans for President.PPP's newest Alaska poll finds that Hillary Clinton would have a chance at winning the state in 2016...but only if Sarah Palin was the Republican candidate for President. Clinton would lead Palin 49/40 in a hypothetical match up. Only 18% of Alaskans think Palin should run in 2016 to 77% who think she shouldn't, and even among Republican voters 72% think she should sit out the race.[/break1]publicpolicypolling.com/main/2013/08/alaska-miscellany.html#more]http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main ... .html#moreIt appears St Sarah's 15 minutes have come and gone.

McCain wouldn't have won with any running mate. Picking Caribou Barbie just solidified his legacy as an idiot.

Old movie with a Palinesque Presidential Part. Iron Sky . It's supposed to be a sci/fi comedy. With Palinesque as Pres, more of a horror flick.

Sayrah! Sayrah![/break1]yahoo.com/why-hillary-clinton-not-sarah-palin-12266697.html?cat=37]http://voices.yahoo.com/why-hillary-cli ... tml?cat=3712Why Hillary Clinton and Not Sarah Palin?Mark WhittingtonMark Whittington, Yahoo! Contributor NetworkAug 4, 2013 "Share your voice on Yahoo! websites. Start Here."COMMENTARY | Jonah Goldberg, with an unerring eye toward focusing on what really matters, poses the question, what is so great about Hillary Clinton that makes her the obvious Democratic nominee in 2016 and the inevitable next president of the United States?I would add another question. What makes Ms. Clinton so much better than another well known female politician, namely Sarah Palin?Goldberg points out that Ms. Clinton doesn't really have any accomplishments to point to during her long career, as lawyer, first lady, senator, and secretary of state. She hasn't actually said anything of interest, except perhaps the ghoulish dismissal of the murder of four American public servants, "What difference does it make?"Contrast that rather thin record with that of Sarah Palin, whose partial term as governor was largely successful, featuring budget cuts, measures against official corruption, and approval of a gas pipeline. She was an immensely popular governor before the Democratic attack machine used the very ethics laws she caused to be passed to drive her out of office with frivolous lawsuits, using a loophole in the law that required public officials so charged to pay for their own defense. Palin, who was at the time not at all wealthy, was obliged to either resign as governor or else be driven into bankruptcy. Before her resignation, she was a candidate for vice president in 2008 and providing the one element of hope and excitement in an otherwise lackluster campaign by the candidate on the top of the ticket, John McCain.Palin went on to be the driving force in the political tsunami that elected hordes of Republicans in 2010. Even in 2012, a bad year in general for Republicans, Palin managed to make a difference, helping to elect GOP candidates like Ted Cruz, now a senator from Texas who has become an affliction to the overly comfortable political establishment.Palin's speeches and other public performance are always memorable. Whether it is decrying "death panels" that are a part of Obamacare or mocking New York Mayor Bloomberg with the visual aid of a large capacity soft drink cup, Palin never fails to delight her fans and enrage her enemies.Of course, among the same poobahs who have already coroneted Hillary Clinton the presumptive queen of America, Palin is considered a joke, a rube, a backwoods ruffian, and a psychobimbo. Yet she is not only more powerful, in her own way, that Ms. Clinton can ever dream of, she is more interesting. She is the most interesting woman in the world.Brought the whole lot over because the whole thing is filled with chunky goodness that should not be missed. Links to various articles at the link.

I was recently delighted to see a batch of SP books (two titles) in the remainder bin for $1 each (seemed to be the minimum).Sekrit Stuffs!
I was even more delighted to see a biography of Margaret Thatcher filed under "ancient history".

more fucking bullshit from the half term nobody.I certainly remember her claims about the British National Health Service and how it was a death panel for the elderly. My father, who was in his 80's, was given an extra 3 and a half years of life thanks to the care and support of the NHS. All for free too. He was in his early 80's when he had the bone cancer and they made sure that he had a quality of life all the way through. I was able to go to the pub with him 6 weeks before he died and he held court. He decided that he could not continue the fight.Fast forward to right now. My mother is in the hands of the NHS, and she's elderly. There has been no withholding of care for her. They pull no punches in the prognosis, but they want the best for her. She's reviewed from hour to hour and they are doing their best for an elderly lady who does not know where she is and that she has some serious injuries. She's on a neurological ward, and they aren't moving her anywhere else until they know that where she goes next can cope with her and offer the best in rehabilitation. All for the cost of your National Insurance. Then there is me. Cadillac health plan, young, fit enough, and my doc wants a brain scan. Doc wants it as soon as possible. No go. It has to go to the health care plan people to decide whether what my doctor wants is something they are willing to pay out on.Turns out it was justified. And now my doctor wants a follow up, and he's currently arguing with my health care plan providers.Yeah, Palin. Socialised medicine is a bad thing.

Sarah has a new video about DEATH PANELSWhy?Could be she misses the attention. Why would any news outlet/entertainment network (Fox News) go looking for her to get her opinion on anything?

So they spend the first half of the video calling the 'death panels' a lie? Didn't we just have a discussion in the Zullo thread about leading with the most important points of your argument? That's what most people remember about ads anyway. If the birther viewers run true to form, they'll quit watching as soon as they see Pres Obama calling her a liar anyway. Can't take the chance of being exposed to any opinion that contradicts their own.
