JUST IN - Trump’s blog has been shut down. The page, "From the Desk of Donald J. Trump," has been scrubbed from the website and "will not be returning," his senior aide Jason Miller said. "It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on," he added. The statements though are still available in the "News" section.

Is there any evidence that this twitter account really WAS Trump, himself? Or was it just some sycophant trying to "support" the former guy?

I haven't seen any evidence it was directly from trump. It never had many followers or likes.

Here's the CNBC link to the blog shut-down.

Not sure where to put this...

National Enquirer Agrees To Pay $187,500 For Breaking Election Law In 2016 To Help Trump
The Federal Election Commission said the tabloid “knowingly and willfully” broke the law when it bought model Karen McDougal’s story.
The owner of the National Enquirer has agreed to pay a $187,500 civil penalty to the Federal Election Commission for unlawfully aiding former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign by suppressing a story about a woman who said she had an affair with him.

The FEC said Tuesday that it found reason to believe American Media, Inc. (AMI) ― the parent company of the Enquirer ― and former AMI CEO David Pecker “knowingly and willfully” made a prohibited corporate contribution to Trump’s campaign when it bought model Karen McDougal’s story for $150,000 in August 2016.

AMI ― now known as A360 Media, LLC ― and Pecker, a friend of Trump, had no intention of running the story, seeking to influence the 2016 election by suppressing a potentially unflattering story about Trump, according to the FEC. This tactic is known as “catch and kill” in which a publication buys the rights to a story to block an individual from going public with it as a favor to a third party.

In a letter responding to a 2018 complaint filed by Common Cause, a government watchdog group based in Washington, D.C., the FEC said Pecker and former Enquirer Editor-in-Chief Dylan Howard paid McDougal for the rights to her claim that she had a sexual relationship with Trump in 2006.

Too little WAY too late. The FEC should have teeth and be able to react in real time to this sort of thing, not five years later.

The blog that former president Donald Trump launched last month after he was banned from Twitter and Facebook is no more.

Jason Miller, a spokesman for Trump, said that “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” has been permanently shut down after all posts were scrubbed from Trump’s website.

Trump rolled out the blog last month after being absent from social media since January, but his effort to regain some of the attention he received with his headline-grabbing tweets largely failed. An adviser told The Washington Post’s Josh Dawsey that the former president wanted to open a new “platform” and didn’t like that this platform was being mocked and had so few readers. The individual spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk frankly about Trump’s plans.

“It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on,” Miller told CNBC, which first reported the news. “Hoping to have more information on the broader efforts soon, but I do not have a precise awareness of timing.”

The site didtrumptweetit.com used robots to predict whether he or staff authored each tweet.

I don't know if those robots are reading other communications on other platforms.

The amazing thing is that 15000/day is a lot better than his 2014 tweets that got maybe 2000 likes. if that. 200 dollars worth of fake followers can only go so far

Cash-strapped Trump campaign spent $1.5 million on Sean Hannity-created ad so bad it only ran on his show: report
Tom Boggioni
June 01, 2021

According to a report from Punchbowl News, Donald Trump's presidential campaign shelled out $1.5 million for an ad created by Fox News host Sean Hannity that was so bad it only ran on Hannity's show before being consigned to the dustbin of history out of embarrassment.

As Punchbowl reports, the backstory on the ad is revealed in a new book on the Trump campaign from the Wall Street Journal's Michael Bender that states the ad, "Swamp creature," was derisively called the "Hannity ad" by Trump staffers who thought it was awful and "over-the top."

Punchbowl summarizes, "Multiple internal campaign emails referred to the spot simply as 'Hannity.' Another referred to it as the 'Hannity-written' spot. 'POTUS has not yet approved, but Hannity has,' read one email. 'Hannity said this is our best spot yet,' another campaign aide wrote...Inside the campaign, the spot was mocked mercilessly—mostly because of the dramatic, over-the-top language and a message that seemed to value quantity over quality."

The report notes that Trump loved the ad -- but officials in his campaign disliked the fact that it was not only bad, but also the fact that the campaign was bleeding cash at the time and it was a waste of resources.

According to Bender, Trump's campaign "deemed it so useless that they limited it to exactly one show: Hannity. … If Trump and Hannity watched the spot on television -- and were satisfied enough to stop asking about the commercial -- that seemed to be the best result of the ad. The cost of that investment: $1.5 million."

But Hannity denied the report. "The world knows that Sean Hannity supports Donald Trump. But my involvement specifically in the campaign -- no. I was not involved that much. Anybody who said that is full of sh*t," he told Bender.

When you are a whiny, punk-ass son of a bitch, you are attracted to "leaders" who you are like you. Many of his devoted followers are more into the fight than they are the actual results. They think if you are seen fighting, you are winning.
