Another high-profile Jan 6 defendant is seeking to transfer his case outta DC and into his home area (Iowa)

Doug Jensen

He argues he can't receive a fair trial. "Anyone living in the DC was less than 7.5 miles away from the events that occurred at the US Capitol on January 6"
So?

He should have chosen a more favourable place to crime, in that case.

One of the curiosities of legal philosophy is that (afaik) in medieval England it was considered a good thing to have local jurors who knew the accuser, accused, witnesses, etc. because they had the foreknowledge better to evaluate testimony in the case before them. Yet now the opposite is considered better.

I guess the insurrectionists only consider a jury to be balanced with if it entirely comprises good ol' boys wearing MAGA hats.

Also Boebert, he said. Did she supply the weapons he smuggled in? So they both knew.

Boebert is known to have flaunted gun rules in the House, she has been fined for blowing through the metal detectors, but they won't actually take her gunz.

If she keeps getting away with incremental "fuck you" gestures, eventually she's pull out a gun and fire it on the floor of the House like it's her husbands Johnson in a bowling alley.

She's that's stupid and unhinged.

Well, after seeing what happened with the Bundys and so many of their satellite , I don't think it matters. Many people get off many times, maybe because of resources, etc., and it seems like it's somewhat easy to crime in a lot of areas, as long as you're white, maybe what passes for rural. So these guys probably figured worst case, they'd get pardoned by their hero.

And to be fair, if Democrats don't keep the WH, they will be pardoned by whichever Republican wins, even if it's not tfg.

No bond for Tarrio.

That won't be till January 2025 when most of their sentences will be done and the only ones left will be cop attackers...unless it's Trump, I doubt any Republican would want to be known as anti-cop.

“I pepper sprayed 3 cops… I basically organized my own little militia and we fucking took over Congress.”

Wisconsin’s Riley Kasper has been arrested for assaulting cops during the Capitol breach.
More at the link. Seems very touristy way of engaging in legitimate political discourse.

I'm guessing FOFI is already in the Urban Dictionary, so I propose they replace the description with a photo of incarcerated J6 insurrectionists.

#CapitolRiot defendant Brandon Fellows is on the stand now seeking release from pretrial detention. Compares himself to Jesus and says he plans no criticism of the government beyond that of Jesus calling the Pharisees ‘snakes'
Um, Jesus did not seek release from pretrial detention. Just saying.
Since the whole Jesus thing didn't work out for him, Fellows is now trying to use... the Civil Rights Movement. Because of course he is.
