They really don't handle counter-protestors very well. Their buttons' are too easily pushed. They like being obnoxious to others but do it to them and they fall apart.

I assume the counter-protestors realize that big tough boys can't handle women, especially WOC, sticking up to them.

Women's March asks participants if they are willing to risk arrest at planned July 9 rally
The DC event is part of what organizers are calling the "Summer of Rage"
following the Supreme Court's reversal of Roe v. Wade.

The last time the Women's March helped organize a day of action in D.C. was May 14, for the "Bans Off Our Bodies" day of action in support of abortion access and reproductive freedom. It in response to the Supreme Court's leaked draft opinion on abortion rights. That march drew thousands of participants.

Yeah, like I said the one shorter woman got between him and the woman with the bullhorn and he literally backed up. Whoa. Antifa women are tough.

Wys might .. might go to film. But I doubt it.

The rest of them; too many angry women willing to get arrested for a real cause. These women scare them.

That name for their events just sounds like they're asking for trouble. I'd be a lot more worried if it were right wingers promoting a Summer of Rage because they'll act on their rage in ways that get a lot of people hurt, but even left wingers promoting rage doesn't sound like a great idea with the tinderbox this country is right now. The overturning of Roe v Wade calls for a STRONG response, but I'm just not sure this is the right one. Not sure what would be better, either, but it just gives me a bad feeling.

Foggy wrote: Thu Jul 07, 2022 9:43 pm I had a case once where a guy ran from the cops and he honest-to-god ran across a dude who kept a handcuff key on a string around his neck and uncuffed the guy. But everyone knew that was a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

Now back to the story, I could see it if the dude got his handcuffs off and the sergeant blamed the arresting officer ... Because the sergeant is the boss of the cops on the street. Above sergeant, you're either a detective or you have a desk job, is how I understand it.
Most depts have Lts, Caps, and some sort of senior officer who is the commander in each precinct. Regular beat cops are usually patrolmen or corporals but there are higher ranking officers on assignments other than desk jobs. Conversely, patrolmen can have desk jobs, and detective (and commander) is an assignment, not a rank. Detectives (and commanders) can be of any rank.

Thanks, Sugar M, I knew some of that stuff, but not enough. I suppose it also depends on the size of the department.

Someone on Twitter mentioned they're parked by a lot of awesome free museums and haven't shown any interest in going in.

Can't imagine.

A lot of this morning's meeting was spent trying to address X-ray's behavior yesterday... without saying X-ray's name.

Xray just did not get it.

X-ray vs Wys

X-ray vs Wys part 2

That video was cropped.

When was it cropped? The officer looked at X-ray's livestream. There was no time for cropping by anyone.

X-ray is having a full mental health crisis.

X-ray's version is in no way true. He told officers that she walked up to him aggressively, and hit him with the bullhorn. The opposite is true. She kept moving away from him, he got too close, she turned, and X-ray's face was too close. He was barely bopped.

X-ray then slapped the bullhorn away, stepped forward, started yelling at her with his finger extended, turned his back to the "assaulter", and then slowly walked away.

X-ray was in such fear for his life that he was less than 6 inches from her face when he began yelling at her. Yep.

It never dawned on X-ray that his own video was evidence against him. It never dawned on him that counterprotesters would record everything without a damn phone.

He's such an idiot. They are all, really. Every one. I suppose some are just unfortunately being taken advantage of. But still. Idiots.
