Minnesota man gets 3 years in prison for his wife’s ‘death party’
A southwestern Minnesota man has been sentenced to three years in prison after he said he threw a “heavy metal death party” for his wife and gave her methamphetamine that killed her.

Fifty-nine-year-old Duane Johnson of Searles was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty in June to criminal neglect. Sixty-nine-year-old Debra Johnson was found dead in their home in January after her husband removed her from a nursing home.

Duane told deputies that Debra begged him to take her out of her nursing home to let her die at home. He said they spent the last several days of her life ingesting meth, while listening to their song — “Metal Health” by Quiet Riot.

I don't see a lot of people like him in my area. I will say that 50 years ago this part of the country had what was called the number one education system in the United States. As I look around me and note the way other people think and do, I have to question how they arrived at that rating. Perhaps it was a case of being book smart and unable to do a bit of critical thinking.

Angry wasps help German police nab fleeing fugitive
BERLIN (AP) — A fugitive in Germany has been nabbed thanks to the help of angry wasps.

Oldenburg police said the unusual sting operation took place Monday after officers tried to arrest a 32-year-old man to serve an outstanding 11-month custodial sentence.

The suspect, whose name wasn’t released, fled from police and jumped from a balcony straight into a wasps’ nest.

Heinz offers to help reformed ‘Ketchup Thief’
Heinz is offering to help a person who fears that the theft of a bottle of ketchup has led to bad luck.

The thief took a bottle from a New Jersey restaurant. But when the person got into a car accident and experienced other misfortunes, he or she returned two bottles to the eatery, with a note of apology. The note said the theft of the ketchup was the worst thing the person had ever done, but he or she was seeking to do something “risky.”

Heinz offered on Twitter to pay for the damage from the car accident if the thief contacted the Pittsburgh-based company.

The company said: “Heinz makes you do crazy things.”

Bear falls on Northern California patrol car
They probably don’t train people for this at the Sheriff’s Academy.

A patrol car was struck by a falling bear in Northern California last weekend.

The bear smashed the hood and windshield. The patrol car hit an embankment, rolled onto its side and burst into flames.
If they ever make Super Troopers 3, this'll make it into the movie.

Authorities: Woman pulls gator from pants during stop
Officials say a Florida woman who pulled a small alligator from her yoga pants during a traffic stop and illegally possessed numerous other wild animals has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to four charges.

Florida prosecutors say a Charlotte County sheriff's deputy stopped a pickup truck in May after it ran a stop sign. The driver, 22-year-old driver Michael Clemons, told the deputy he and his 25-year-old passenger, Ariel Machan-Le Quire, were collecting frogs and snakes under an overpass. He gave the deputy permission to search bags in the truck.

When the deputy found 41 3-stripe turtles in a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" backpack, he asked if Machan-Le Quire had anything else. She pulled the 1-foot (0.3-meter) gator from her pants.
"Is that a gator in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?"

Pumpkin spice Spam is coming, and people are out of their gourds NOT A JOKE.
What's the perfect food to enjoy with a pumpkin spice latte this fall? Pumpkin spice Spam, duh.
:snippity:
"Pumpkin Spice Spam certainly seems to err on the side of a breakfast food, and could easily be slathered in maple syrup as you might with breakfast sausage," wrote a reviewer for Food & Wine magazine. "One colleague even compared it to gingerbread plus ham — maybe this Christmas you could even build a little village out of it?"

Not everyone's sure about the new product. "Hey Twitter, I'd like to report this as unwanted spam," wrote Meg Kinnard in a tweet.

Houston astronaut accused of hacking ex-spouse's bank account from space
According to Worden, in 2019, McClain broke into her bank accounts while she was on board the International Space Station. Worden gave KPRC the letter that her attorney sent to the NASA inspector general documenting the alleged breach.
To which Trump replied, Fuck the law. I don't give a fuck about the law. I want my fucking money.

There is a Cannibal Restaurant in Los Angeles. True. Rachel posts about it. I have even googled and found the web site.

http://cannibalclub.org/index.html

But I don't believe it. Comments at other sites show that the photos of the owners/staff whatever are from Stock Image sites or something like that.

The Cannibal Club does not exist. Your News Wire based their article on two components: first, a fake “Cannibal Club” web site, which has been online since at least 2009; and second, a “leaked” document purportedly listing Streep, Clinton, and Perry as members.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/cannibal-restaurant/

ETA: Apparently the link below is a review for a real restaurant but doesn't serve human flesh.
